Hey, I would trade Damp for Butler or Odom. We also have a few PGs for you to choose from...Speedy who frustrated GP so much he picked a fight with Speedy and got them both ejected, or NVE. Or we have a few PF if you want...Murphy is almost untouchable. Cliffy is coming off the books next year so that might be a good option. Plus he can play some center and is a very good rebounder. What do you say?

If we could get Ratliff it would be nice. But he is kinda injury prone. That or Keon Clark aka uncle Clark. The oldest looking 28 or 29 year I've ever seen. I'm just not feeling Dampier. He doesn't rebound enough for a guy his size.

Yao practically stops himself sometimes. For someone who is 7'5" and has just a ton of offensive skill, the man is far too passive on the offensive end. You see him pass up a lot of shots to get the ball to someone else who doesn't have as good a shot. He needs to learn how to play a little more selfish I think. Typically, you don't want a player to be a little more selfish, but, in this case, he should be. He doesn't take nearly enough shots. He need to really involve himself more in the offense next year if the Rockets are going to be true contenders. Because, now that Shaq is out East, no one can stop Yao. He's going to be the dominant force in the West. There is no one near his height or weight now. I think, if the Rockets are smart, they run more offense through Yao. It'll create more opportunities for TMac and it'll allow him to post up. If they get Yao to shoot more on the inside though, that's going to be a tough team to stop.

Why don't the Lakers just go after Dampier, and sign Rodman to the veteran's minimum? Haha...that would take care of the boards...he can still rebound better than 95% of the league.

Butler for Dampier would be great for both teams, unfortunately Butler does not make much money yet, and the Warriors would have to take on Rick Fox's salary and probably Devean George. This leaves the Lakers thin on the bench and the Warriors with far too many small forwards.

Unless the Warriors took on Brian Grant's contract, I don't see these two teams getting a deal done.

How about Dampier & Eschmeyer for Grant & Butler?

    butler for doleac

and then we get him back [IMG]

seriously, why not to denver for nene? nene can play center, and now it looks like it's going to the bench. butler can play sg also, so both teams benefit.

For some reason, I thought Damp had a 20/20 game against the Lakers. Do you want me to list how many 20reb games he had last year?

I counted 6 last year. I am not sure how that stacks up right now, but I think that was right there or more than KG had last year.

He had 45 games last year when he either had double digit rebounds and/or led the team in rebounding. So there might have been times when he did not lead the team in rebounding, but could have still had double digit rebounds.

The four players the Lakers have looked at for the PF and C positions are Chris Mihm, Vlade Divac, Karl Malone, and Slava. I'd like to see them land a combo of Malone and Divac out of this group or maybe Rebraca, Keon Clark, or Steven Hunter.

Dampier would put us right back in the postseason mix, but I just don't see any interest for him playing with the Lakers.

Dampier would fill that void partially lost by losing Shaq. Damp played well against Shaq (although I attribute that to Shaq thinking he could sleep walk through the game). He is a player that as long as you give him 5-10 touches in the low post per game, he will be happy. He will rebound hard for you, and block shots. Shaq needed the ball just like Kobe does. But now Kobe can do his thing, Damp can clean up around the basket, and when Kobe is out, Damp can get his touches. This is an ideal situation for the Lakers. I dont know why the fans would not want it to happen. All I am asking in return is that we get Odum or Butler.

Chris Mihm would make sense for yall, but he would get eaten alive by the giants of the West, i.e. Garnett, Yao, TD...even Okur in Utah...but atleast Mihm hustles, doesnt demand a lot of shots and is a nice shooter for a big man...
