Well, he doesn't need to be high-level passer. Just being a great slasher who can find an open man when the defense collapses is good enough to play alongside Roy. Assuming his shot returns and he plays defense. All things that are attainable. He'll never be Nash or Kidd, but he could be Parker or Harris.
It's still Sergio Rodriguez. It will be interesting to note who's GM and coach when we eventually pay huge to get him back. Trading Sergio is the biggest blunder in Blazers' history.
It is Sergio's destiny to be MVP...of the Turkish Basketball League. As for the actual point of the post, I voted for the series of veteran point guard stop gaps. I don't know if Bayless is capable of playing the point any time soon. Our current point guard is a veteran stop gap. If Bayless doesn't work out, our next point guard will be more of the same.
It will probably be a series of stopgaps. Point guard is not that important of a position on this Blazers team.
You know I'm sorry, but I've never, ever been high on Petteri Koponen and I really don't understand why some people are. Anyway, this is a tough question to answer. If I were to guess, I'd guess that Miller and Blake are here to stay for the next 2-3 seasons, and after that we may trade for someone new. But it'll be interesting to see how Bayless responds to all this.
