I would be surprised to see Denver take any of those teams, except maybe Utah because they are struggling, to even 7 games. You are a big time Iverson homer, I know... You are overrating Denver soooooo much. They are the Suns with a worse defense and a little bit worse offense too. Denver isn't that good at all, not NEAR the top 4. Houston and Detroit would beat them in 5.</div>Miami when healthy are also better than the NUggets.

Serge weren't you a Sixers fan before AI went to Denver? This is getting ridiculous, Denver has proved that they don't have the pieces neccesary to make a playoff run. I'm not going to go through the facts becuase everyone has already pointed them out to you and you don't seem to be listening, but let me ask you. With Denver's lackluster defense they will go to shooting slumps and fall behind. Does Denver have the fire-power to score quickly enough to catch up to teams like PHX, GSW, WAS, without a PG forcing Melo/Iverson to take over. I'm not saying that this Denver squad in the future can't accomplish succes but right now there are changes that need to be made to this lineup. There have been to many changes to the squad slowing down their on and off court chemistry along with a ton of other issues so I really can't see them making it past the first round of the playoffs.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Serge @ Mar 29 2007, 03:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Or the diff is 2 players getting fouled from the Nuggets with nothing being called for the steal to happen and that shot to go of in the first place.</div>So now you're complaining about sh*tty officiating... how trite. It was a clean steal; I saw the replay. This isn't the first time the Nuggets have been like this. They've been very inconsistent. Bringing them up in this conversation is a joke. I don't even think they are the 5th or 6th best team.
If the 4th best team is one who's record is 2 games under .500 in the last two months then the NBA really must be at a low point now.
I think this proves that Melo and AI are very overrated. I've been saying it for awhile and people got all upset about it. I knew it wouldn't work. The 2 highest scoring players in the league with the least benefits for their team.

Houston is a defensive powerhouse with a large bench, a swingman who can make his own offense and offense for other players in T-mac, and a 7 foot machine in Yao who is arguebely the biggest matchup nuisances in the NBA. Also don't sleep on the Jazz. They have one of the best up and coming PG's in the NBA in Deron Williams. A powerhouse big man in Boozer. Mehmet Okur who splits defenses apart with his ability to shoot a three point shot. One of the best defenders in the NBA in AK47 and a proven great coach.Although Detroit's bench is underrated it does not compare to the Rockets or the Jazz's. Not to mention that Detroit can not win the defensive battle against these teams. Gonna go watch the second half of UCLA - Florida now :dribble:

And AI can play PG they need to take Blake out replace him with JR. He is taller and won't be taking advantage of on D like Blake can be. And he is active with his hands and fast so he can get a lot of steals. Also AI plays D he trys very hard, and Camby blocks shots he just needs to come out and guard his guy also. Other guys do need to step it up a lot though. And offense is fine they need to tell AI to shoot more and stop passing it to much yes he now is passing to much.
Why does everyone keep saying Utah isn't the 4th best team? The Jazz have been 4th best for practically the entire second half of the season, the only exception was at the AS Break when they were third. Utah has beaten Houston two out of three times, they've beaten Detroit both times, and they are a consistant winner. what else must they do to prove that they are the 4th best?
redneck- I believe Utah and Houston are neck and neck for 4th best team in league, but I give Houston the edge because at any given time, Houston has the 2 best players on the floor in T-Mac and Yao. Yesterday's game could have went either way, and you will rarely see Yao go 0-5 in the 4th, or Houston make some of the dumb mistakes they made yesterday.
I agree that yesterdays game was an anomoly, both teams stunk it up offensively. the problem I see with the Rockets is if you get Yao into foul trouble, the Rockets will really struggle.
