Someone else said he was (could've provided reasons himself), but your only comeback to that was your first statement. No reasons.

Ok, where does he fit for reasons? He is a big back, so does that mean he will drive through everyone at any part of the field? He doesn't have good speed for a normal back in the NFL, mainly because of his size. He has about Jerome Bettis speed, and he doesn't have the power that Bettis had. He is a mediocre version of Bettis, with exceptionally more height.

Brandon Jacobs actually has pretty good speed for a man of his size. He ran a 4.56 at the Combine which is pretty much an average time for a Runningback. Combine that with the power he has and it's a rough player to bring down. My only concern when it comes down to Jacobs as an everydown back is his stamina and if he will continue being so tough to bring down when he is given the ball 20 times a game which is why I think it's important the Giants invest in a good backup.

L.T, Hands down. The guy is so amazing, god I wish the Browns where smart to take this guy :glare: But any way, he is leading his team and is a true leader, it's L.T IMO.

That wasn't so hard was it?I disagree with you, though. With his size & build, he reminds me a lot of Eddie George. I think next year, they should pound Jacob for 400+ carries like the Oilers/Titans did EG. They'll win themselves some games and keep the pressure off of Eli.Brandon Jacobs speed > Bettis speed and much more agile, IMO.

He can't continue to plunge through linebackers. Injury proneness will be a big factor if he continues as well as his ability to run. He cannot continue to just pound through the middle and expect not to get tired as Adrop said. You can't depend on one guy to carry the load in the NFL anymore. All RB must have a counterpart in key situations, i.e. Laurence Maroney and Dillon, Leon Washington and Barlow, Marion Barber and Julius Jones, and even Tiki and Jacobs.

Even LaDainain Tomlinson has Michael Turner who takes carries away from him. There is no reason Brandon Jacobs can't be the 'starter' Runningback if someone like Garrett Wolfe comes in for 8-10 carries a game. They don't need to ask Jacobs to get the ball 25-30 times a game. :whistling:

That's what I am saying as well. I meant that even if the Giants were one of those rare teams you would find with 1 actual RB, he wouldn't be a starter.

no, defensive players can be available for overall MVP awards, they just never win. And it has to be either Manning or LT...that whole Defense in Chicago is good, but LT is fucking awesome with no recievers, essentially a rooke QB, a TE in an off year. Manning has simply won at least 3 games for the Colts. The Jets game, the Giants game and a game like 2 weeks ago whose opponent i forgot...i would have to say LT because MAnning already has like 2 MVPs, and LT is on pace for 35 TDs, which mindboggling

B/c Urlacher is just as valueable as Manning or LT. Don't tell me w/o Urlacher the Bears can win. They're fucked if Urlacher goes down.

I will be voting Urlacher for MVP. If this is strictly offense, then change the title to offensive player of the year

It isn't, but no defensive players ever win it
