Re: Who's the MVP?? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Waqas @ Apr 16 2006, 11:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Wtf, why?</div>Because so many other things determine the MVP.Anyways, the Suns/Lakers game made an impact of Nash's MVP worthiness. 89 points without him.
Re: Who's the MVP?? Yes, and not having Raja Bell who has been hot lately and not having Kurt who is a huge part of our team had nothing to do with the loss right? Yes, we lost because we didn't have Nash...no...we lost because we didn't have 3 starters. It was 89 points too, put Raja in there and we would've passed 100. And they probably wanted to lose because I'm sure they want to face the Lakersrather thank face the kings who could beat us sinc we won't have Kurt.
Re: Who's the MVP?? Kobe will probably get it due to his last fifty point game. I don't really want him to get it. I think Dirk deserves it more because the Mavs without Dirk would be a very ugly thing.
Re: Who's the MVP?? Lebron will probably win it, the media love him and he also deserves it. Kobe won't win it because there's not enough support in the media.
Re: Who's the MVP?? In the past few weeks, I keep changing my pick. Nash was my pick up until Friday, when i realized in the past 15 games his team has done didly squat. I feel the real compeition is between Bron and Kobe. Number wise, it goes to Bron. But, if you look atr the historical significance, with all the broken records, Kobe has the edge. Team wise, Kobe has carried a worse team to playoffs, but Bron has also carried a crappy team to homecourt advantage.IMO, it's a deadlock between Bron and Kobe, edge might go to Bron, because his team has done better, numbers are better, and even though its not much of a factor, he DID win all star MVP.
Re: Who's the MVP?? Bron is in the discussion, but he's not neck and neck with Kobe.If anything it's Kobe and Nash neck to neck, with Dirk and Lebron following them.
Re: Who's the MVP?? Why Nash though? Cavs are only like 5 games behind Suns, and Bron has a far worse team than Nash and Bron's numbers are better. Bron has also broken records this year and doesn't have such a good 2nd option that Nash has in Marion. IMO, it's Kobe and Bron, neck and neck.
Re: Who's the MVP?? It'd be a disgrace for nash to win 2 mvp's in a row. The first one was cute, now it's getting lame.

Re: Who's the MVP?? Well considering Nash won it last year doing less than he's had to this year, I'd say it'd be a travesty if he didn't win it. I mean he's doing more this year, than he did last year, without Amare, and several other starters, and a key 6th man from last year.He was also the front runner till recently when Kobe started to overtake him.Bron wasn't a legitimate MVP threat till the last month or so of the season, and that's what all the experts have said, and people who vote for it.I do think Kobe wins it, but if anyone is neck to neck with him it's Nash.

This year he has Kobe, who is averaging the 10th or so most PPG in NBA history and has had the 2nd most points for 1 single game, 6 50 point games, the most 40 point games in LA history, and leading a far worse team than the Suns to 7th seed in West. Bron is averaging 32/7/7 on 48% shooting, and has broken various record this year (like the consecutive game streak of 35 points). He is also among league leaders in triple doubles.Oh, and is leading a team far worse than Suns to homecourt advantage which includes 50 wins for the team, which is only a few less than Suns. Neither Bron or Kobe has a 2nd option like Marion, or role players as good as Diaw, Raja bell, etc...
Re: Who's the MVP?? All I'm saying is that from listening to guys who know, like people who have votes and write about the MVP, they still have Nash as #1 or #2 on most of their ballots still. Not my opinion, just what I've heard. I think Kobe wins it, and I don't think Lebron is any more deserving than Dirk, Wade, and not Nash for sure.

A lottery bound team destined for failure. The Suns proved these last few games its obvious they cant win without Nash.If you watch Suns games. When Nash goes out of the game they play much worse.
Re: Who's the MVP?? Yeah, Wade isn't close to being a top candidate for MVP.It's Kobe, Bron and Nash, in that order.

When Nash goes out of the game they play much worse.</div>I have watched Suns games and they'd still be a playoff team without him. Nash definetly deserved it last year but this team is better. The last few games prove nothing because they have played without THREE important starters, two of which are our best defenders besides Marion. They beat the Mavs with Nash playing only 29 minutes. Whenever Nash goes out they never play much worse. I've seen them play worse but the play better somethimes and sometimes they have played much better with Diaw, Barbosa and House together. Nash is not the MVP. He is less valuable than Dirk, Lebron, Kobe, Brand, Billups(no depth on that team), Garnett....I have had enough of these 100 MVP threads. Nash was the MVP last year, HE DOES NOT DESERVE IT THIS YEAR, HE WILL WIN IT THOUGH.
Re: Who's the MVP?? I agree he doesn't seserve MVP, but Suns are not a playoff team without him. They have no one to run the show, and without the setup man to get the role players free, D'Antoni's run and gun system doesn't work.
Re: Who's the MVP?? You are underestimating Barbosa. He has come a long way from a couple years ago. I think he could get them in the playoffs with Eddie House as the backup.

You take any star player out of the game and it happens.
