Part of the reason I want to see Zach at PF some next to nurk is at least to me Aminu is kind of the weak link in the starting line up, most nights. I know he has games once in a while he’s on but I think Zach could give just as much defensively while being a much more under control offensive player.

Zach should play 24+ minutes at PF with Nurk alternating with Meyers at center. And both PF and center positions should contribute 24-32 points each per game.

By optimizing scoring at these 2 positions, the Blazers can be championship contenders.

They should just do what they did in previous years with CJ. Start with both of them in at the beginning of the game and 2nd half and then just stagger their minutes after that so one of them is always on the floor.

I can live with Meyers averaging only 7.3 mpg.

He's leading the team in +/- per minute. That likely is related to how he's been used - as a center.

    Why can't Zach play PF?

Notice that this question was not asked about Ed Davis? We have been spoiled by Ed, and expect the same from Zach. It's not as easy as Ed made it look.

Based on swish3 shooting accuracy, Meyers should be in as center for 8 min.in each of the 2nd and 4th quarters, and shooting at least 3 swish3s in each. When he is making >40% he should continue scoring 3s.

I was being generous when I said he should only play 7.3 mpg. Based on BBIQ, Meyers should not be playing.

Against the Rockets Oct 30, the Blazers should play Zach at PF and Chief at SF and guarding Melo. Let's see scoring of >22 points from the PF position.

It's really too bad we can't sub him in for offense and out for defense each possession.
