Why did we draft Josh Boone, anyway?

Why would I search for a pretty old thread?

    Is that allowed here?

What would not be allowed about it?

Why'd we draft this guy? To sit on the bench or somethin?

I'm beginning to think he's just a different pro player. He was the Defensive Player of the Year in the Big East, but has he played any defense in the NBA? I'm not saying he's a liabilty, and I know he's behind Collins, but you never see Boone on the opposing teams best big even if Collins is on the bench. Why is that? He showed last year he was decent off the pick and roll. This year not so much. Where did it go? I've been rooting hard for Boone to succeed, but I have to say he confuses the hell out of me.

He has a minor injury, and Frank is obviously trying to give Malik Allen a chance to prove he can shoot. Boone is what he is, though; a complimentary piece. I wonder if we'll see more of him when Marcus comes back.

Boone is soft, mentally and physically. He's still a stick and he can't rebound, surprising since he was considered the best Offensive rebounder out of last years draft.

Boone is playing very bad right now but I can't just give up on him. He has the tools all he needs is to put it together.

Boone just need Marcus. I don't care Boone's rebounding ability, but his turnover prone makes me to spit the blood.

I didn't say he is not a good rebounder, but last time he was on the court, he lost the ball too often. Terrible hands.

I say dont judge Boone yet until Marcus comes back. he seems to play best when marcus is on the floor(though someone would have to get stats on that, since im not 100% sure0

We drafted Boone as someone to have false excitement and hope towards until Sean got here.

It will be a field day of alley-oops with Marcus passing to Sean and Boone. [IMG]

Right now Boone's days in NJ are numbered or else he can come into gameswith lots of energyapart from that, we could trade him for a second round pick

We just picked up his option. We don't trade him for a pick because then we have 12 people on our roster, and 2 of them are out with injuries.

Marcus and Boone obviously went to UCONN together so they already have the chemistry. And now Marcus and Sean are close since they both had drug problems so hopefully there chemistry there.. Just imagine the future wit Marcus running point and just chucking it up to SWat for the alley or let Boone work the block. They are also outstanding rebounders so far. Our defense would be ridiculous if Marcus could improve.

    Future Starters? (If Wright stays)

PG: Marcus Williams or a bigger line-up --> PG: Marcus Williams

SG: Antoine Wright SG: Richard Jefferson

SF: Richard Jefferson SF: Boki Nachbar

PF: Sean Williams / Josh Boone PF: Sean Williams / Josh Boone

C: Sean Williams / Josh Boone C: Sean Williams / Josh Boone

DAMN THAT TOOK FOREVER TO TYPE SO U BETTER READ THE DAMN THING!
