I think his confidence is allready shot. He isn't getting any time to play and to me experience is better than watching. That is why I don't get much by watching tapes of teams.
I'm not saying throw him out there for 25 minutes a night. That's something he has to earn. All I want is for him to see playing time - period. I don't want to hear people tell me that you can develop talent in practice because practice will and always will be totally different than in-game experience. As far as I'm concerned, there's no reason for him to have zero game experience right now. He should be in the game for every single second of garbage time because he needs to get the feel of a real NBA game, and earlier is always better when developing young players.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting j0se:</div><div class="quote_post">If he's not playing now, then why not the NBDl? Let him build confidence</div> Alot of teams don't believe in sending their players to the NBDL because they cant control how the NBDL teams control, coach, or use their players. I think its more beneficial for Green to stay with the Celtics anyway when hes learning from Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis everyday in practice.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jerry West:</div><div class="quote_post">Why?</div>Because the longer he goes without seeing the floor, the longer it will take him to develop into whatever it is that he will become. Sure, there's a chance he will be totally lost out there right now, but he won't hurt us because we already suck.

Serving an apprenticeship and bringing players along slowly often results in a more well-rounded pro.
