yeah...the idea that Oregon has terrible roads is history in Lane County..they even paved my rural road and are right now making all the sidewalks in the small town near me wheelchair accessible...I just drove from Fern Ridge through Harrisburg and over to Sweet Home on back roads all the way to a wedding and the roads were amazingly good everywhere....I think Tucker is just throwing shit at the wall again. Blue states have to be poorly managed in order to maintain any sense of superiority in the bible belt so false alarms are weaponized. Flood plains have sinkholes everywhere..that's just a fact...lots of sinkholes in the midwest. We have them in the valley....I lived in Central City Colorado and landslides were pretty common on the roads in the high country.
I would point out Florida law requires a bidding process for state contracts. DeSantis is breaking the law on that. He's Trump 2.0. Lawless, bigoted, showman, empty suit, braggart, bully, coward.
And that's not going to change. As long as democrats are still trying to "compromise and meet in the middle" on the dime of corporations we'll just keep trending further and further right...
I've driven on Oregon roads quite a bit. The potholes there drove me crazy. I've lived in the Atlanta and Nashville surrounds and the roads are substantially better, That said, I'd be much more for tax incentives/breaks than simply doling out surplus tax monies in the form of checks. https://www.tallahassee.com/story/n...round-family-friendly-tax-breaks/10435537002/
Meanwhile, roads in Tallahassee are absolutely garbage. Reminds me of some of the more unrefined areas east of SE 82nd.
I bet the million and a half dollars thrown away on political stunts this past week could have helped patch those up a tiny bit. Oh well!
They're all over Portland, especially on the East side. I can't remember seeing a pot hole in Lake Oswego.
A million and half of tax payers dollars just for a joke. He should be kicked out on his butt from the governors mansion just for that.
That would encourage government to waste the money. Far better to distribute it equally. That's the most efficient means of economic stimulus.
