I have learned more. The comment was on a comedy show when the joke was made that Florida looks like a penis. I think real issue might have been she spoke out when whit privileged Fox hosts called her, a Black woman, racist. She had high ratings, especially among Black women.
That is how Republicans are. They called Trump their god emperor. Some said he is second coming of Christ. For those disillusioned with Trump, DeSantis is new god emperor. Note how ABM, after saying many times parents should decide what their children are exposed to, turned on a dime when his new god busted parents for taking their children to family friendly drag show. Now the state decides, not parents.
I think it's more about their desire to see themselves as still in power. Trump is the last grasp at white people being the ones in charge. it's why they want to make America great "again". It's why theyre the ones who say "White lives matter". They will say and do almost anything to keep their white privilege's. Even if it comes at the expense of freedoms, liberties, intelligence and common sense. They'll never turn on Trump because they need him (and the garbage he says) to keep a hold on their (perceived) place in society.
