DeSantis appointed founder of grossly misnamed Moms for Liberty to state ethics commission. This is not a cosmetic post. The commission has real power to discipline state employees who maybe encourage reading or support LGBTQ civil rights.
This thread is nearly obsolete. Desantis’ moment has passed. That goes for all of the ‘other than Trump’ candidates as well, with the exception of Vivek Ramaswamy, who will soon be the only other R candidate you hear about.
I bet abm is a huge Vivek fan, and already has all of his (made up) anecdotal stories of his "liberal" friends all loving Vivek now, all lined up, saying they will be voting for him over Trump. Hyuck garsh.
After DeSantis fired state surgeon general for promoting Covid prevention, he had applications from qualified doctors and a quack who had no public health experience. He hired the quack, even after it was learned quack falsified his resume. The quack now tells Floridians not to mask or get boosters. With a Covid surge and an older population.

DeSantis endorsed Tuberville blocking military appointments in order to hold them open for Trump loyalists. Just when a lot of Republicans are fed up with the blocks.
