you're making a weird argument here. Enes looks Turkish. His parents are Turkish. He is Turkish. Turks are not considered white by anyone. Someone who has turkish ancestry can, if they've widened the gene pool, etc...but Enes does not look white.
I didn't make the argument...I asked that we agree to disagree and not argue..you see the world through a different lense than I do apparently and that's fine. My son is mixed race and people think he's white..My oldest son looks like his dark mother and people think he's Mexican......as I said, Obama and Halley Berry are not called white even though they have a white mother. Only because of the color of their skin....
He's famous and had political situations that highlighted his nationality...he is a Turk and that's his nationality ...a fair skinned Turk.....my children aren't famous but it's not laughable that one of my son's is looked at as white and the other as Mexican because of skin tone....you can laugh about that...personally I don't find it funny...we're at an impasse here
What does him being famous have to do with anything!? Tiger Woods is famous, he's light skinned, is he white? I'm laughing that instead of going "ooh yeah, Sirhan Sirhan wouldn't be considered white by Americans" you went with the "well, in Africa he would be!" Well, in certain parts of Africa I'd be considered short and rich, doesn't mean in the US those are true. What about Diego Luna? Is he white? his skin tone is kinda light. What about Oscar Isaac? Both of those guys look more "white" than Enes does, and they're both famous. What about Mandy Patinkin, is he white? He's famous, light skinned and "looks white"...
“White privilege” is a racist construct the left has embraced to further their political agenda. They wouldn’t dream of attacking any other race this way, but they think white people deserve it, so what the hell. The race war is only made worse by such labels, but the left doesn’t care. They’ve completely abandoned MLK’s famous observation that we should judge people solely by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
I'm not going to color code the world for you here...you make your own choices when the police ask you to describe someone ....I'm sure you'll point out their parentage and dna profiles but my statement is simple...skin color is confused with nationality and ethnicity......you seem to have a different opinion as to what that means...and if you don't care to talk about it on a global level...that's your problem....in africa or china...they have fair and dark skinned peoples......and they are referred to that way..Usually stems from northern or southern populations in either continent....what being rich and short means I find laughable....tell that to the pygmies or the owner of a diamond mine in africa....snd for the record I didn't imply that only in africa he'd be described as white by someone pointing him out to the cops....they wouldn't say..."black guy" or brown guy because he was fair skinned. Your whole point about white privilege in relation to killing 3 big names of the 60's, and you then brought up two people who didn't and don't benefit form white privilege (Sirhan Sirhan didn't, and Enes benefits from being rich). Then you went off on some weird tangent about how in Africa this, or Africa that, which has nothing to do with Sirhan Sirhan or Enes Kanter, or white privilege.

In other words, race is social, not biological. A century ago in US, Irish, Italian, Greek and Jewish immigrants were not considered white. Nowadays some Latinx people are wanting to be included as white. White privilege is real. What changes is who is covered by it.
