You cannot say arbitrarily that we won't ever win a title again. You centered your focus on beating two sub par teams but they have talent and if you prefer to rank against an elite team, we got skanked against the Wizards. Why not be infatuated with our "big 3"? Management sets the course for success. Olshey did perform a small miracle getting Nurkic and a first round pick. We had won 5 of 6 and you threw a stink bomb in the church. Its better to have hope and pride rather than demoralization and hopelessness.
I've been a member on this message board for almost 10 years now and I rarely comment. I have seen my fare share of threads/stupid threads but this is by far the worst. This place has changed a lot over the years... I remember the days it was Mixum as the only negative poster and everyone would hurry him. I agree this team, right now, is a disapointment. But honestly, go root for another team. I'm tired of the bashing and the "Portland will never win another title" BS. Go root for the f*cking warriors and save your trash threads.
I agree with a lot of your post. I think the only thing I take exception too is that this is an organization and it has an owner that wants to win big. Unfortunately, winning big and really competing is being held hostage by the soap opera that is in the front office. This is where I agree with you. That and it doesn't take much to excite the fan base. The owner nor many of you see this. Bottomline we get what we get. I've made the case against Olshey many times and will continue to do so. I don't think he really has a plan and if he did It went by the wayside a couple years ago. Why this owner and some of these thinks he's the Shiat is mind boggling. But I agree, they aren't going any where fast. I know you are being blown up but nice take on everything INCLUDING Lillard.
As Lebron said Ohio raised him and thus his loyalty. I have an idea, I'd give retired NBA pedigree players sanctuary in Portland. Property tax breaks to Special treatments. Then with all the DNA kids being born and being loved by the village. Then hopefully the chances of them growing up and having a place in there heart to play for the Blazers their childhood team. There's a chance we create our own Lebron or three.
Why not just clone Lebron? It's not like he doesn't leave his sweat here once a season. The nice thing about Lebron cloning is you could just make a bunch of them, wouldn't need to clone anyone else. You could start 5 Lebrons. Have 3 or 4 more coming off the bench.
This thread is awesome, look at all the likes I got thanks to OP ! You're the man OP, keep it going !
