sorry but bullshit on the being "more inviting" crap, this place is a blast and it is that because of the "good, bad, and ugly" found here. If a newbie can't cut it then too friggin bad, he or she ain't made for this place.

Why you leaving? Is it because you do not want to discuss basketball, is it cause you do not like civility, or is it because Riverman and myself came back despite your best efforts?

9/26/2013 You were permanently banned after according to the posts several warnings and suspensions only to be later reinstated yet I am baiting people by doing what making them read full paragraphs? Asking they be nice to new posters, or asking people to talk basketball?

If you have found a new forum I would hope you come back to S2 from time to time since you have been a big part of this community. If you do not return, I wish you the best in life and hope you live long enough to see all you dreams come true.

I never stopped being a fan but the forums did change my rooting dynamic. I want the team to win every night but if they are going to struggle I want it to be completely obvious to all as to why it happened. By it becoming completely obvious then I feel like the team or player can address the a situation easier. Statistically speaking and in my opinion 22 foot jumpers are a bad shot. It is a problem that I can see potentially preventing the team from winning a title the ultimate goal of any season. Therefore, when I get called stupid or my opinion does I begin wishing for bad things to happen so that it becomes obvious to everyone that I was right and something needs to be done.

Still going to be a fan and cheer for the team but forums have changed my dynamic, I am no longer a child who just enjoys the game and cheering for the team. I have ideas an opinions about what can help the team win a title, when I am called dumb for sharing them and then the team does not win a title then I start to root for certain things to happen in a game.

I would love to be proved wrong and look like an idiot because that means the team has succeeded.

Ahhh, oh how the tables have turned.... A person who once thrived on picking on posters forcing them to leave has now been forced to take an absence from those same posters!

    dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.....

    Come on.
Everyone grow a set. Talk basketball on here and leave the drama out.

Exactly. Nothing makes me happier when I find myself pessimistic about the team than to have them prove me wrong.

She once hired out a bear to fly a cargo plan; are you really going to trust her?

That's hilarious! According to you, the "dark side" of the internet is being drawn into rooting against your own team, not wallowing in porn for hours.

cmeese, I think the title of the thread is what gives most posters pause here. To me it's easy to be a fan but in the recent past has been hard to interact with gloom and doom posters. If there were ever a season to enjoy the Blazers, this is one of the best. You might also want to use the sarcasm font for some of your obviously sarcastic posts.

I think forums has only increased my fandom. It's tough to be a fan of the Blazers if you don't live in Portland. Surprisingly, there aren't many people at your local watering hole here in Denver willing to debate who will be the better player long term, Will Barton or Allen Crabbe.

I can swing by here, chat with fellow fans who love the team as much as I do and get my Blazer fix.

Even in bend it was hard to talk blazers with all the Californian transplants. Now in south Carolina I'm surprised when people know the blazers are an NBA team. I agree its cool to read everyone's opinions and I like reading the posts people make with all the advanced stats I've never paid attention to.
