    Next season:

Mike Rice: "Miles Lilliard, really went after that rebound that time, I mean that was something ..."

Mike Barrett: "I think you meant to say Meyers Leonard ..."

Mike Rice: "Oh yes, Leonard Myers, sorry ,.. what what was I saying?"

    Mike Barret: "Leonard."

Mike Rice: "Right. Damian Leonard, he's really starting to pick up Kaleb's offense"

This is a great draft indeed!

Best comparison I heard today was from Chris Haynes : Jameer Nelson, made me think of a Blazer: Terry Porter. Would love Lillard to become a great assist guy that can step out and knock down the three. Maybe not a pass first guard, but one who can do it all .

Yeah a bigger, more athletic Nelson isn't a bad comparison. Since Lillard is bigger he could be much better at finishing than Nelson though.

This draft, thankfully, is not so pivotal. Batum took a step forward this year, Lillard was better than we had a right to hope, and Aldridge improved incrementally. What would be nice was if there was a decent center out there to sign, but unfortunately there isn't, unless you count Zaza Pachulia. However, the reason I was so worried about last year's draft - it was Olshey's first, and his chance to make a mark, so if he swung and missed he wouldn't admit it and would do a Nash-with-Telfair - doesn't apply this year.

In fact, I'd almost rather make the playoffs and lose the pick.

Why are you comparing Williams as 27 year old to Lillard as a 22 year old rookie?

Lot's of players who could potentially help the Blazers in this draft. Either by playing for them, or adding them to a deal to bring us a player

I understand your concept of having tradable assets for lopsided deals; but I really think this is the year to look past the draft. I think this is the year we just look for vets via free agency and only have a sign and trade piece with hickson (yes I think that will happen). I think Nola would love to have hickson to compliment Davis's defense. I actually think monta would love for a more conscience rebounder than robin Lopez. Denver, Nola and Milwaukee maybe the best trading partners with this ball club.
