"Ring lover"!!! What a diss! Whatever. If Kobe plays like garbage and earns 50 rings, what do I care. All that I focus on is if he plays well in the regular season and playoffs. Actually winning a title is completely random, out of his control, and incidental. As long as he does his job(play like the best player in the NBA), he is a winner. Thus, I respect KG more than most of the media, even though he has no rings.
^^KG does get hated in the medi. He should have two rings, TD stole one. You guys really think CB4 is gonna be a sure thing first ballot HOF, that will be compared to some of the best pf's ever?

It is not random...if you won a ring...that means you're the champ of the year out of all the other teams.....as simple as that. The discussion was would CB4 become a better player than KG in the future? If KG won a ring, than no, CB4 is not better than KG. Winning rings does become a crucial part of the debate because both of these players are the leaders of their team. To find out who's better...which leader can bring their team to the playoffs and win a ring. It's not that hard actually....common sense.

^ i also think that KG leading his medicore teams to the playoffs for so many years has to come into the topic. Bosh still hasnt made it despite being in weaker conferences, and having jsut as good, if not better teams

He has mostly no control over what teammates he gets. One player alone cannot win a ring. If one wins a ring, that means that team is the best that year, not that you have the best player in the NBA( and sometimes, not even that, if a major injury or bad refs mess up games for example). As for your second paragraph, I don't buy into that intangible garbage, or into the idea that it is necessarily "common sense".

Just drop it..if you pick it back up, it's fine with me, it'll just prove how ignorant you are.
I posted my reply early before I was done typing it up, then I lengthened it (by editing). So no, I did stay within topic, lay off.
I dunno why everyone starts off with a "KG>Bosh". This is just stating the obvious. The question was, will Bosh be better than KG. It's way too early in Bosh's career to determine that, but what we can determine is that Bosh defenitly has the skill set, maybe a more offensive mentality, and the same drive to win and improve. Thats the reason I think hes compared to Garnett, not only the body type, game type etc., its the players mentality and basketball smarts.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">^ i also think that KG leading his medicore teams to the playoffs for so many years has to come into the topic. Maybe his first year when he had Vince, but that was Bosh's first year, and Vince was also soft that year too.
Bosh just isn't the all-around player Garnett ever will be. Bosh is a power foward that gives you 20+ points, 10 rebounds and a few blocks every night, whereas Garnett gives you everything on and off the stat sheet. That's not to say Bosh is a bad player, he just can't be compared to such an amazingly versatile player that re-shaped how the power foward position was played.
Why do people keep throwing in the ''KG has no ring'' card all the time. You're making it sound like Bosh is gonna win like 5 or something. Last time I checked Bosh hasn't even MADE the playoffs and it doesn't seem likely this year either where as KG made the PO for like 8 straight years. And I think that it's not realistic to put Bosh in KG's class yet. I mean if Bosh scores 30+ points or grabs like 15+ rebounds everyone keeps saying that he's a superstar or that he's gonna be the best...while KG keeps putting up good numbers like that all the time. KG plays great defence, he's consistent, he affects the whole game drastically, and he is very versitale. Keep in mind, this is all coming from a Raptor and a Chris Bosh fan so there's no bias here. Bottom line, I don't think it's realistic to compare the two players because KG wins that discussion hands down.
