With 27 games there is no time to "ease him in". We don't run any plays for our centers anyway. Just put him out there and let him do what he does - rebound and defned the paint. It's not rocket science. The guy is in his 14th NBA season. I'm sure he can figure things out. The sooner the better. BNM
Agreed. We still need Roy though. Good thing the Hornets will still be missing Paul for a few games, hopefully Amare is traded for garbage and that Memphis keeps losing.
I don't see why he wouldn't....I'm happy with the trade, it makes sense for both teams and everyone can re-sign with their respective teams next year. I want to see some balls flying after being swatted.
Are you saying that Camby has a higher basketball IQ than Howard does? Hmm...I will have to respectfully disagree on that one.
They are probably about the same. Both guys have been in the league for a long time and have a lot of experience to draw off of. But Camby, has been to the finals and many, many playoff battles. My main thing is, by allowing Howard to move back to the bench, it stabilizes the bench. We just went from having one of the least experienced front courts in the league, to having one of the most experienced. It is that simple
Yes he starts, yes he makes a huge impact. If he doesn't start then Nate should be fired on the spot.
Camby won't be in uniform tonight. So, that gives him one game to sit behind the bench and observe, and two practices before Friday's game against the Celtics. There is absolutely no reason not to start him on Friday - yet, I get a feeling that's EXACTLY what Nate will do - bring Camby off the bench to give him some time to "adjust". That would be an example ot backwards "logic". He'll adjust faster if he's playing with the starters and learning to play with Roy, Miller, Aldridge and Batum. BNM
So that's a "no"? I would have thought after all your whining to bring in a center, you would have wanted him to start.
From Blazers.com Nate also said he wants to talk to Camby to see where he is at before he decides if he will start or not.
