New York Giants safety Will Hill has been suspended for four games for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, the league announced Saturday.

This is the second time Hill has been banned by the NFL. Last season, Hill served a four-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing substances policy. Hill said he took the attention deficit drug Adderall.

Hill, 23, is eligible to return to the active roster on Sept. 30 after the Giants play the Chiefs. The second-year safety is eligible to participate in preseason practices and games.

No. He can actually play. I don't know what the substance was. He's not a bad team guy. He's just stupid. Hopefully, he can develop his pea brain enough to stop getting in trouble with stuff like this.

Nope. Kid has had a tough life when he was younger. Not easy to grow up that poor surrounded by violence. I would stick with him. To me, pot is not a big deal. Too much is made out of it. It's not nearly as bad as these athletes that go out and drink and drive. That is worse.

Mara's generally give anyone a reasonable opportunity for a second chance, but not third. He will be cut, and what is difficult he will immediately be claimed by someone else.
