If someone could get one, I would wonder if Jordan is still considered the best bball player in history.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sabretooth:</div><div class="quote_post">I think, for something like that to happen, it would have to be a team goal. Once the team noticed someone getting close, they' tap a rebound or set the teammate up for the assist. There have been alot of close guys, at least 10+10+7+6 types of nights.....I think. I mean the "names" of their teams (Garnett, Kirilenko, Duncan).</div>

Sorry, I wasn't reading correctly. I believe that if anyone were to do it, it would be Garnett. Not just because I like his game, but because he IS the most well-rounded player and usually when you think of a high block count, you don't think of a high steal count with the same player. He would be the closet one I could see to getting it.

umm i was looking it up seeing who got a quadrople double and i found this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple-double
if you look @ the 5th paragraph it says Wilt had a double triple double where he got 20+ in 3 stats!</div>

Yo thats insane [IMG] , wilt was crazy he made 21 assists let alone as a center...i would not be suprised if he did get a quint-double at least once, although it wouldn't have been recorded.

I looked it up,only four players have ever acheived a quad-double

Nate Thurmond, October 18, 1974, Chicago vs. Atlanta; 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks

Alvin Robertson, February 18, 1986, San Antonio vs. Phoenix; 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals

Hakeem Olajuwon, March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks

David Robinson, February 17, 1994, San Antonio vs. Detroit; 35 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks

Its very unlikely that we'll ever see nayone do that. Players today that could be possibly capable of it are KG, Lebron, and AK47. I very highly doubt anyonne of those guys could get a quintuple double, maybe a quad double though.

AK-47 would be my favorite to do this feat. #2 would be KG and that's it. LeBron will never get close double digits in blocks... Come on guys, let's be real here..

^ If someone were to get QD, I wouldn`t automatically call them one of the best players ever, but it would be one rewarding happening thats for sure.

It does seem impossible, but you never know what could happen during an NBA game.

And that's why Wilt is the Greatest Player Ever......

I think a quint-double could be acheived sometime in LeBron's career. LeBron might be able to do it in the future but even that's is unlikely.

are U joking? I don't think Lebron should be considered a contender for this.

If yo u want to talk about being the only palyer other than Oscar Robinson to avg a triple double, then Lebron could do that. But his defensive stats can't match up to AK47 or KG.

Just because a player is very good with Triple Doubles doesn't mean he could be a contender for a QD. THe contenders would be people who have really good defensive stats.

    RICKY DAVIS?!
I wouldnt go that far Ricky Davis is a good player but 1st of all he doesnt get enough minutes to accomplish a quintuple double, and you really think Davis(the player the comes in and shoots) is going to have double digit assists?

Nah, lol. I was just thinking of the time he tried to grab his own rebound so he could have a triple double. He's certainly got the determination to do it. [IMG]

I don't even think a quad-double will be achieved anytime soon. The game changes constantly, and it looks much different now than it was in the previous decades. We just don't see single players running the whole show by themselves, even if they carry most of the load. The only instance where i could see a quad-double or a quin-double is if a future HOF superstar is on one of the worst teams.

Didn't Tim Duncan come close to the quadruple double in one of the '03 finals game once where he was short of 2 blocks?

Ming637 yes you are correct... although I don't know what game exactly but it was in the Finals. I saw the game, and Duncan was an absolute beast... of course he was the MVP of the series.
