Gee, I knew it was only a matter of time before bb came with his "I know everything" posts. I guess I meant "anyone with a clue."

You do understand how Vegas gets its' figures, right?

Besides winning the trophy, I wouldn't expect a Seahawk to concede that the Niners were the better team. So I give props to Sherman for backing me up, otherwise.

Side note, but somewhat related: He can be a prick, but I actually feel bad for some of the backlash Sherman got. He deserved some of it, but at the level a prick deserves. He's not a thug. He's not a bad person. He's a prick, perhaps a poor sport, arrogant. But to call him a thug and the racist, backwoods shit I was reading that was in response to his rant is plain sick. He was treated more harshly than the politician that threatened a dude.

There's really nothing that suggests the 49ers are a better team than the Seahawks, but I'm sure it's a nice comforting thought for you

    Dumb post.

I said that Vegas had the game as being very close.

You claimed "anyone with a clue" knew what would happen.

And you claim that I made the "I know everything post".

    Dumb and illogical post.

    Please, enlighten us.

Even dumber post and more illogical post. I didn't say anything of real substance. I did not make any claims, nor did I make any attempts to educate and enlighten. So to call my post dumb and illogical........ well, it takes a dumb and illogical post to make such claims. Stupid, stupid post.

I don't proclaim to know everything. You clearly do - so I won't bother explaining it to you.

I did say "anyone with a clue." That doesn't include Denver Broncos fans, for one.

I think they're very comparable teams. If the NFCC was in San Franc, it could have gone the other way. Regardless, they're easily the two best teams in the NFL right now.

Are there any big free agents for Seattle? Niners could lose Whitner and a few others.

Green Bay is winning it next year with Rodgers healthy for a full season.

I agree with the fact that the Seahawks and 49ers were the two best teams this season.

Can't really think of any huge FA, no.

Michael Bennett will be a FA, but it's already been reported that he'll be back. He loves playing in Seattle so much than I think he'll take a discount if he has to. There was little market for him last year and signed with Seattle for 1 year at $5M.

The players to watch are Sidney Rice, Zach Miller and Chris Clemons. They all have big contracts and a couple of them could be cut (probably very likely).

There's always the possibility they restructure as well. If not they will all probably be cut.

Fair enough. I haven't really seen anything definitive to prove otherwise, though.

As I said before, it's nothing to get upset about. I'm not trying to discredit the Seahawks. The Hawks won a Super Bowl - don't be so butthurt about what other fans think of your team. Enjoy the victory.

I highly doubt it. Healthy Rogers has lost to the 49ers twice, at home and on the road.

    LOL.

I'm sure you backed up your position of how obvious it was with a large bet in Vegas.

It could have gone either way, even in Seattle. I had a couple of Seattle fans texting me on the last drive giving up on the game. Sherman made a great, great play. I think it goes down to the wire wherever they play.

Regardless, though, it's pretty clear the NFC West is the cream of the crop. I look forward to next year. Depending on what happens with St. Louis and Arizona (two tough teams already), it could even be tighter next year with the division completely beating up on itself.

The Niners have 4 picks in the Top-80 (well, top-77) and 5 in the top-100, so that should be of help, especially if Whitner leaves (though, I'm not so sure this is the worst thing in the world).

    $500.

    For me, that's big money.

I don't usually gamble. I did twice this year. Won both. Both betting on the Seahawks (I sound like Pete Rose, but I've never bought on my teams). Between growing up with a friend whose dad was a very serious gambler and being an accountant, I've never been big into it. My brother, a recovering addict, has 6-7 years clean, and his story and the chaos his addiction brought about cannot even compare to the chaos the gambling addiction my friend's dad brought upon his family.

So yeah...... as if gambling somehow proves how solid I am in my belief of something. That's a weak, simplistic, flawed argument.

I know Michael Bennett is a FA. Breno Giacomini is a FA. Hauschka is a FA. Golden Tate is a FA. Paul McQuistan is a FA. I would like to see them bring back Bennett, Breno and Hauschka. Tate may be a salary cap victim, particularly if he wants a lot of money.. Baldwin is an RFA. They probably cut Rice. They want to sign Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman to longterm deals before they even figure out some of these FA issues.

The line kept moving b/c the action kept coming in on the Broncos. Not from wiseguys/sharps, but the casual fan. Seahawks were favored by 2.5 on the Monday following the championship games. As it was, even with the 5-point move (from SEA -2.5 to DEN -2.5) 68% of the action was on DEN. Good for the books, but they try to set the line such that 50% of the public bets on each side, not because they would put a large bet on DEN -2.5.

that said, I think the 49ers win by two scores in the SB if Crabtree somehow catches that pass.
