I'm still struggling to accept the results from the presidential election of 2000. Maybe its about time I moved on........???
I'm ready to give up on the one person leadership option and go for the Star Trek council idea....every political party has a member of the council and they have cool badges and civil discussions.....then just disband Congress all together and send them home to their States where they are supposed to be working...DC isn't really getting much done the way it is
Since Kennedy the presidential election has almost always gone to whomever bought the most votes or had the best connections. Now it's an actual issue???? Sounds like Donny and the assorted Hillary haters need to pony up more money......
I think we can all agree that the only way we can accept the results is after they have a ladder match for the presidency at survivor series next month.
So no complaints about Trump saying the election is being stolen. The DNC emails prove it was stolen from Sanders. And Gore never ever had more votes than Bush in Florida, under any recount.
Seeing as how strongly Bernie has campaigned for Hillary....I don't see him complaining or stirring up shit about her win...he wants to see Trump lose and he says she's the one to do that...Bernie is a smarter guy than folks think. Trump is calling for Gestapo support groups to police the polling stations....whew.....the hatred for Dems is strong with Denny and goes way back it looks like
You know for any other election I have witnessed, I would say yes I would accept the results. For Bush who stole the election, I eventually accepted it. I would have excepted McCain and I would have accepted Romney. I don't know if I can accept Trumpm at least those other Republicans had experience, knew somewhat what they were getting into. Trump is a one act clown show, and it's scary to think he could become the most powerful man in the world. I don't know how you guys can be ok with that. He is going to make W look like a member of Mensa. If he wins it may very well be time to enact that certain clause of the second amendment that calls for the abolishment of the government.
If the election were up to this forum, I wonder who would win? There seems to be a lot of conservative peeps here. It'd be interesting to see.
Like I said. One of the things about democracies, is the constitutional right to be stuipid. If the majority of the electoral college wants a clown, that's what we get. It's the system we have.
Gore tried to steal the 2000 election and was slapped down by the Supreme Court on a 7-2 vote. His idea of recounting the votes was to recount in as few counties as possible and only those that had the most registered democrats. Even so, he simply never had more votes. More votes means you win, that's the rule. He lost.
Gore's biggest complaint was the lack of soldiers votes from Afghanistan being counted at the end...they were late coming in and then the hanging chad, but hey...haven't we all moved on from that election? I sure have
