If our first is this summer's, then it's okay. It's a high pick, and this draft is said to be week. I'm down
When does Wilson's contract expire? Sites say that next season is the final year, and is a team option. But he signed a 5 year extention in march 2012. So that would make this season the 3rd year. 12-13,13-14,14-15
Also about Chalder's 3 point shooting... That's not what we want. He can get to the line and slash to the basket. He isn't afraid of contact either. Also, the new scenery could change his motivation and being surrounded by a winning system could help. Chalder isn't a cancer, so I don't think he fucks up chemistry either
I think the team option is what's confusing you. I think Olshey is realizing that grabbing a good bench player and having a MLE this summer maybe all we need to keep our winning culture. I am in full support of the Chandler move
We already have enough 3 point shooters. I think we are missing the slashing wing. Chandler is that type of guy
I think we need a consistent scorer off the bench and it doesn't matter how they get it done. Chandler is a good inside threat, but his 3 point shooting is under rated. I have no qualms about him coming in and hoisting up threes off the bench.
I seem to recall he had his own shoe sponsorship to Pony Shoes when he was in New York, are they still a thing?
Yeah me neither. He's good enough for you to respect his range, so that's only going to benefit his slashing game
If that's not what you want you may not want Chandler. He can slash to the basket but he's only averaging 1.8 free throws a game, and shoots 5.7 threes a game. I think he'd fit right in.
The NBA is as wide open as I can remember, so I support getting additional bench help at the right price. If it's two end of the bench players (No Crabbe, McCollum, or Leonard though) plus a first ... so be it. Everyone realizes our pick right now would be No. 29 right? We barely have time for Leonard, McCollum, and Crabbe - three of our most recent picks.
Assuming there is a trade with Crabbe & Chandler, the only single player that can be included to make a trade legal is T-Rob.
I trust this GM. He isn't going to make a move that is going to thrwart the chemistry. For one, he is showing he knows what it means and the value of having it. I think he sit's on his hands before bringing in a player just because a guy can play and put up numbers. I also think he won't make a move that hinders any flexibility for future years. I think this team stands pat and the chemistry wins over in the end over these other teams aggressively trying to make moves to improve.

Fodder and a first-rounder? Do it. Free up a roster spot in the process. Blake McCollum (eh...) Chandler Leonard Freeland/Oneal
