It's only like $3 million more than CJ+ our first round picks salary no? 7 mil for chandler is completely reasonable IMO.

It's a shame that Jose Calderon is on the hook for another 15M after this season...NYK wants to just dump him and he's still good at what he does (shoot 3s, never miss FTs and dish out assists) while still being horrible at what he's horrible at (playing D, for instance).

Another consideration if we get Chandler, is whether he'd like to start and make a fuss about being a bench player. Nic is better than him, but with Batum's slump this year, the two are actually a lot closer than you'd think.

Kinda reminds me of Indy gettin Evan Turner last year, and him and Lance Stephenson competing for PT. Their second half of the season went to shit because of chemistry issues. They made the ECFs because of the weak conference, but they clearly took a step back after the Turner trade.

Just something to keep in mind before making a trade...

Non factor. There is no way he is brought in without answering this question first. To say our management is as bad as Indianas is an insult to the front office.

I'd hope they would, and guessing they will if they actually make a trade.

Donnie Walsh, Larry Bird, and KP are not chopped liver.

Difference is chandler has experience coming off the bench.

The starting lineup isn't broken. Don't fix it.

Chandler, like Kaman, should and would come off the bench.

Impressive. Good inside game--and one more 3-point shooter for our offensive arsenal.

Calderon would be an expensive backup, but if we deal away guys that aren't playing anyway, what's it matter. Just carry one less guy on the roster. What if we trade Claver/CJ for him, and let him play backup SG?

Calderon is awful. He used to be good. Not anymore.

Or what do you think of Calderon replacing Blake as our backup PG? He's a good shooter! He can run an offense.

Have you seen his salary? That's a very easy "no".

Sure but Blake can too, while not costing nearly as much while playing much better D.

Too expensive. No defense. I'd rather have Blake x1000.

If we're letting it bake, it's OK to take on a little bit of extra $ (not much though). If we're staying aggressive and letting some of our guys go, then it makes no sense to take on extra salary. I'm for the former.

I will be happy either way this turns out. I would miss Crabbe. But I just wish there was a 'we decided to stand firm' announcement instead of wondering if it's still coming.

Well the latest comments neil and stotts made don't really suggest they're going to stand firm. Who knows though. If the fans can see the bench needs help, so should they.

Yeah, but he would've spelled it "scoup."
