But he's not. Chandler can create for himself. Crabbe can't do that. He didn't even do that in college.

The difference is negligible. Chandlers been assisted on 95% of his 3 point shots this season and has the lowest free throw rate of his career.

He's shooting less than two free throws a game in 31+ minutes

Chandler is more of a scorer, Crabbe is just pure 3 and D, Udoka style. The only problem with Chandler is injuries and not anything to write home about in the playoffs in his career so far. Idk if I'd want to give up a 1st for him.

The more I think about it the less I think we go for the 'sexy' name, I think the team is looking at guys like Evan Turner, Mbah a Moute or Jared Dudley.

yeah, I don't quite get the "Wilson Chandler-as-Vinnie Johnson" thing. Useful piece? Sure. One season in his entire career where he was even average in PER? Yep. Over half his shots are 3s, and he shoots ~35%, so that's useful, but he doesn't "create" much and CJ and Crabbe shoot way better. Defensive Rtgs are average-or-slightly-below and he's a zero (or slight negative, depending on injuries) on DWS.

Again, if the price was Robinson, ok. But do we really not trust CJ and Crabbe, two young guys who've been in the system for going-on-two years, to progress the way young players do? I mean, if this year is our only window, go ahead and htink about it. But with LMA re-signing for a 5yr max and Dame about to get paid, you have to keep that cheap talent around.

Wilson Chandler was 2-7 last night in 41 minutes. I do think Crabbe could do that. Hell I bet Claver could do that in 41 minutes. It is really hard for players to come off the bench and be consistent without consistent minutes. Could Chandler if his minutes were reduced? or would he produce the same results as Wright?

I do think we need a trade for more offense off the bench. And as much as I dislike Kevin Martin, I think he'd be a solid addition. But it'd give us the ugliest outside shooter (Martin) and the ugliest post-up game (LMA) in the league.
    I wouldn't go tossing 1st rounders into trades though - unless it's a knock-out deal.

Same scenario for KM IMO. Great to have on the bench in case of injuries, but not sure how well he would perform in limited minutes. I doubt the results would be better than CJs. (KM is Certainly worse on D)

Interesting OKC has gone from Martin to Lamb/Morrow and now Waiters to find consistent shooting off the bench.

No thanks to Kevin Martin and no thanks to Wilson Chandler.

Wilson Chandler is a much better player than Affallo. I think several of you are underestimating him.

But I agree with BlazerDuckHawk - Evan Turner & Jared Dudley would be great additions to this team.

Evan Turner? lol He's got a rep as a terrible teammate, so I'd pass on him. Dudley would be OK, but I'd rather just give Crabbe and CJ those minutes.

I like Chandler, but I agree that a 1st and CJ is an overpay for him.

Chandler is better than Batum right now. Our late 1st round pick will most likely not amount to jack squat anyway. Just look at the percentages.

if you don't play the game, you don't have a chance to win. And picks are the currency of trades.
