Jay-Z didn't court him, Rod Thorn courted him.

The Nets have not used Jay-Z in any free agent acquisitions yet. This is all speculation on what could happen if they used him for that purpose.

I was trying to make a joke. [IMG] What's taking him so long to get us decent players?

For the record, the Nets better watch their butts 'using Jay-Z'. The NBA takes tampering very seriously and the last thing we need is a buncha fines or having to forfeit any draft picks.

My bad. My sarcasm detector has been broke for a long time.

Regarding your second point, I think Jay-Z is a smart man. Smart enough to become a millionaire many times over, smart enough to become president of a large record company, and smart enough to build his own empire. I would hope he's smart enough not to get his investment in trouble through his own actions.

The potential to make money in Brooklyn is going to endless.

Jay-Z is probably going to have a lot of stakes in most of the entertainment events during the season and off season in the arena. New Venue smack dab in the center of NEW YORK. Please you guys hear about all the Springstein concerts in the Meadowlands where there is no mass transit. Image with that with LIRR and Subway hub across the street.
