If the season is over, who are you targeting at our projected slot — #14?

The tiers of prospects are relatively clear IMO. After the top 5 or 6 prospects, the lines between tiers start to blend.

Only one rule:

-- Assume that we don't move up, down or out.

Go!

Obi Toppen - Dayton if avail.
McDaniels - Washington

LEANDRO BOLMARO!!!!!

(Disclaimer: I don't know anything about 99% of the draft eligible players. But I like that one pass he did in that one video.)
Still need to watch more of him. Very erratic player in the sample I've seen so far.

Just got laid off for 20 days though so may dive into some more of his U19 film.

Vassell. In a draft over-flowing with high risk "projects", Vassell sounds like a low risk guy who still has a reasonable ceiling, a skill set the team can use, and might actually be close to contributing.

Hilarious.
He's truly a joy to watch on defense. And it's not just about how he was able to block that shot in only two strides either...

Quickly recognizes that Tre wants to isolate, so he's early in help to crash down on Carey if Tre beats his man. But also reacts to closeout on O'Connell before the pass is even in the air.

Has the whole package to be a great off-ball / team defender.

Obi Toppen will be long gone by 14. Killian Hayes will most likely be gone by then, too. So that's my favorite two prospects off the table.

(Though, actually, NBA Draftnet actually has Hayes going to Portland at 14, for what that's worth. Not much, but I'd be happy if it played out that way.)

If Hayes is gone, I'd go with Josh Green. Tremendous defender, some passing chops--shooting is currently mediocre, but if he improves that he could be a perfect complement to Lillard. Considering he improved his free throw shooting significantly, I don't think his stroke is a problem and improved perimeter shooting is a reasonable possibility.

Onyeka and Obi are my top targets in this draft but both will be long gone by our pick. Same goes for Vassell.

I'll go the Simons route and pick the prospect with the highest ceiling at #14:

Aleksej Pokuševski

Darkhorse: Amar Sylla

He blocked the shot? I thought the guy just missed horribly.

Best player available no matter what. No more picking to fill a need.
