Ahhh too bad with Bay. An offseason in which we signed Jason Bay, Chone Figgins, a utility player, and Rich Harden would have been perfect. And resigning Branyan.

Adding a Doumit or Molina would actually be a very underrated move. Both can hit pretty good for catchers and could possibly LP DH down the line instead of a Sweeney to prevent them from having injury issues. As for Nick Johnson, I've never seen him but is he the guy the A's or Nats had?

It looked as though Jack Zduriencik was hesitant on the $3.5 million clause Harden wanted. I thought that would have been fair, had Harden stayed on the field for over 190 innings (which was the basis for the deal).

Could you imagine Ichiro/Figgins/Bay or Holliday/Gonzalez to lead our lineup? I think I'm having wet dreams right now :)

Don't know who Texeira is, but hopefully he can be another gem. Seems like Z has been able to find good bullpen guys on the cheap during his short tenure here. Not sure what to think of Doug Davis, never really been a fan of him. Has he beaten cancer completely?

King Felix/Lackey/RRS/Fister/French or Snell or Morrow would be a nice rotation, especially the way our new guys stepped up after the Washburn deal.

I'd love to take a chance on Ben Sheets. We could reap BIG rewards with him.

He hasn't really pitched for 2-3 years if you look at him, which is a really worrisome aspect, but he was an elite pitcher for years. Z was the assistant GM in Milwaukee back when Sheets was dominant though, so there is a reason for interest.

Let's hope Halladay can come to an agreement on the extension for Cliff Lee deal to go through :) The pitching would be upgraded big time if this goes down and Mariners would probably have a top 3 pitching staff in American League IMO behind possibly Yanks and Red Sox.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES. If we get both Lackey AND Cliff Lee, we've had a great offseason. All we need is a solid catcher and HR hitter alongside Branyan and we're good for the winter.

Negative, Lackey to Boston. I wish we'd just bring back Bedard, the guy would be an amazing #3 and would give us the best pitching staff in the bigs when healthy. A Holiday would be amazing way to finish off free agent signings

Well if the rumors are true, they gave up a future set-up man in our eyes, young live arm that's around 6'7" in Aumonte. Was nothing more than a set-up man in our eyes, and Brandon Morrow who has potential to be great as we've seen flashes but needs to be assigned a role to concentrate on since we bounced him around a lot. Morrow was drafted ahead of Lincecum, Kershaw, and Andrew Miller, and he 2 hit Boston @ Fenway when he was originally a starter and was hot. Michael Saunders is a great defensive OF, with some speed and working on power for a 6'3" guy. I really like his game because he's a great bunter (reached based on several bunts when he played) and has 25/25 potential with a great glove. I hate giving up Saunders, but there has to be somekind of plan to add a LF in place.

We just traded our top prospects practically, our farm system is too bare for Gonzalez. We need to sign a Delgado along with Holiday ;)
