Jak Siemasz Carter! Just kickin some a that international flava your way! I just wanna see a good game, an entire 48 minutes!! Can we play a decent fourth quarter?!!?!? WTF!
Statisticly, on back to back games LeBron comes up big on the 2nd game. Im saying he will have no more than 30 points. Come on guys, wheres the enthusiasm? We are at home for Christ's sake!
Some of you guys have a lot more faith than I do apparently. The Wiz, now healthy, have a nice mix of players who can not only hit the deep ball, but also slash. Seeing as how the Cavs are very weak in perimeter defense, that is not a good sign for us. We have to keep Stack, Arenas, and Hughes away from the rim. We can't afford to get Z and Boozer in foul trouble like the last couple of games. Hayes is shaping up to be the next Cavs killer and Kwame has been playing well the last couple of weeks. This isn't a very good time to catch the Wizards. Lebron needs to step it up and get to the hoop. He goes through stages where he falls in love with his jumper too much, hopefully he breaks out of it tonight. The Wizards don't have a defensive specialist to get in his face and frustrate him, so he should be able to have a very good game. Z needs to continue to be assertive on offense and defense. He's starting to play a lot better on the defensive side of the ball lately (can't really count last nights game, nobody can guard KG). Haywood shouldn't be touching the ball very much, but I have a feeling he is going to be rotating over and trying to stop penetration a lot. Boozer was a little off against the Wolves. He got in foul trouble early and Garnett was really frustrating him on the other end. Garnett bodied Boozer up and didn't allow him to complete a couple of his patented left handed dunks. I think Boozer was thinking too much and wasn't his usual dominant self on the boards. He needs to come back with strong today. I'll say Cavs by 3 only because we are at home and because we can't afford to go on an extended losing streak.
Cavs up 31/27 after 1 Wizards went on a 6-0 run to close the quarter. James has 8 points and 3 assists Z has 8, 4, and 2 Stackhouse has 10 Haywood has 10 and 4 rebounds Cavs shot 65% in the quarter to the Wizards 45.5% Both teams had 3 turnovers Cavs did have an 11 point lead ---------- Cavs up 48/45 @ the half Larry Hughes injured his forearm and will not return. He played just 7 minutes. Arenas went on his own 5-0 run to close the quarter to have 8, 1, and 2 . Gilbert got called for a tech. after giving Z a push under the basket before his mini run. James has 10 points and 4 assists Stackhouse has 11 and 3 assists Z has 9, 5, and 2 Boozer has 7, 5, and 1 Cavs have shot 50% compared to the Wiz who are at 44.7% Cavs have 14 fast break points to the Wizards 4 Cavs have 5 turnovers to the Wizards 10 Bottom line the Cavs must keep attacking on the offensive end and must not take off plays defensively, this Wizards offense is too good. The key stat, Cavs are shooting 57.1 from the FT line to the Wizards 64.3. If we don't pick up that pace, we can lose this short lead real fast. Silas also sat down James and Boozer a lot in that 2nd quarter, thats when we lose a lot of momentum. ---------- Wizards up 78/63 after 3 Arenas has 23, 3, and 5 Stackhouse has 17, 3, and 6 Haywood has 14 and 11 James has 12 and 6 assists Z has 15, 10, and 3 Cleveland has the worst home crowd in the entire NBA and it's getting ugly fast. No effort, no defense, no boxing out, and all one on one plays. Cavs basketball if you ask me. ----------
Cavs getting absoultely punked at home by Wiz. We've successfully managed to turn Brendan Haywood into Shaq. This is ugly, I will not rant, instead I'm going to continue breaking things in my room.
I can't believe I am seeing this, both teams have already gave and and are just killing time goofin' around. Disgusting catastrophic embarrassment to the game of basketball.
This was a horrible loss. It now moves to the top of my list of "Most Embarassing Cavs Losses this Season" poll. We got destroyed on the boards. We pretty much gave up midway thru the 3rd quarter. Sixers and Heat both lose, and we follow suit. You have to take care of business on your home court against bad teams if you are a playoff team. Cavs showed that they aren't ready to take that step yet. Cavs still need to get a legit shooter and to move Z.
damn. Not really surprising since the wizards are doing pretty well with a full team right now. The wizards are really a team with scary potential if you look at their roster. I didn't foresee the wiz beating up on the cavs but its not surprising to say the least.
Next up the Celtics who flat out own the Cavs. If we lose both games before the all star break, we might as well forget about the playoffs. The teams above aren't going to struggle the entire season. They are eventually going to straighten things out so we need to take advantage of them before they do.
Cavs made me sick tonight. What the hell is going on. We are falling apart. We can't play against zone and we can't even play the zone itself! We are leaving too many perimeter shots, and giving up too many offensive rebounds. If i was Sillyass I would continue man to man. And go with an offensive threat :LeBron/Booz/Wag switching through out the whole game. Even Reghi wanted to leave his seat and go home. Pathetic.
Now this is the Wizards I was expecting this season. Jerry Stackhouse is improving game by game this season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ming637:</div><div class="quote_post">Now this is the Wizards I was expecting this season. Jerry Stackhouse is improving game by game this season.</div> You do realize he has played 3 games this season, don't you?
i'm sorry but tonight was an absolute travesty (spelling) Sick to even be in gund arena to see this one. I am speechless almost. wow...........................
Sh!t ! It was great, 7-3 in last 10 games....and now.... 3 lost in a row. Why LeBron have a bad % from Field Goal? Maybe he should play on PG .
LeBron finishes with just 14 points <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He scored 15 points in the third and did a nice job shutting down Cavs rookie LeBron James, who lit up the Wizards for a season-high 38 points a week ago while Arenas was out. James scored 14 points, but went just 3-for-10 after scoring eight points in first quarter. Before being benched with just under six minutes to go, James went 1-for-5 in the fourth period with Arenas draped all over him. In his last seven games, James is shooting just 16 percent (7-of-45) in the final period. Carlos Boozer had 19 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Cavs, who have lost three straight.</div> Full Story Box Score <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Fresh Arenas leads Wizards past Cavs <font size="1">Tiring week contributes to third consecutive loss</font> It was a good excuse, a true excuse, even an understandable excuse. Whether it's acceptable has yet to be determined. There was no denying the Cavaliers were playing against more than the Wizards Saturday night. They were still gripped by the gantlet they'd just run in the previous four days -- against the elitist Pistons, Lakers and Timberwolves. It showed in their legs, it showed in their demeanor and it showed on the scoreboard. Yet for a team trying to muster a playoff run, it was just a plain old bad loss. The Wizards blitzed the Cavaliers in the second half to post a hurtful 106-88 whipping, the Cavaliers' worst home defeat of the season. </div> Full Story
Bad game, LeBron didn't do his normal job at scoring, Zydrunas didn't rebound good enough, but Boozer was at his normal stats in this game to, his the most solid player from game to game the cavs have! Hope LeBron also can be as solid from game to game as Boozer, then we would easy win games if the other also stepped up for their team!
^You aware that Boozer had just 8 rebounds while Z had 11? I know we all must not expect a rookie to score over 20 points a game every night either.
