    Mainly because of injury. They actually played well once they adjusted to each other. They were on a great run when Cousins went down.

    No. I'd rather have 3 elite players on this team (Nurk, Dame, Davis) rather than two. Right now we have two, and it's likely not enough to get us out of the first round.

    I am not sure it failed. They were 21-13 when he got hurt and both were headed to the all star game. I think it was too early to tell.

    @yuyuza1 @blazedanugz This is what I PM'd to a poster this morning.

    "....and in response to your question in the thread, I've heard there have been exploratory discussions between N.O. and N.O. but I get the feeling it is facilitory in nature or for a secondary piece and that Davis is not part of it. The couple of people I check in with didn't think from what they had heard that Portland was very serious."

    In a follow up discussion with one of the people I get to chat with, he said that he believes Portland has inquired about Davis but that the conversations weren't very serious. He thought they had deeper discussion regarding ancillary pieces rather than any significant talks regarding a superstar like Davis.

    there's that word again...."aggressive"

    I'm aggressively cynical about Olshey so until proven otherwise, I'm assuming that Olshey is aggressively leaking that he's aggressively chasing trades in a most aggressive manner. Then, in his annual exit interview he'll say he wishes he'd been more aggressive before the trade deadline.
