And if you don't believe me, then go try this shit in Iran or Saudi Arabia. Let us know how that goes for you. It's not about a Burka, Sly, and you know it. It's about being a hypocrite. I'm all for their right to protest. But they need to get their facts strait before they do so. Their protests yesterday were based on EMOTION, not logic and reason. I'm all for people protesting; as long as they have their shit strait. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of whining without a purpose.

Actually women in Iran have more rights than women in SA. But women in both countries have less rights than they do here. I think even muslims would agree with that. People can march for whatever reason they want even if they don't support what you think the facts are. Isn't that kinda the point of the march. "I don't agree with you."
Again, I'm all for marches and protests. All I'm saying is...make sure you get your facts strait about what it is you're marching for. Otherwise, you just look like a fool.

You cannot be a proper Muslim woman unless you submit yourself to your husband (among other things) under the demands of Allah, as guided by the Prophet Mohammed. Dude, this isn't some mystery here. Islam is not a friendly religion to women. Or gays. Or Christians. The religion itself has not Reformed; it's still stuck in the 7th Century. You can CALL yourself a Muslim, but if you practice feminism, then you're not really a Muslim. I can say that I appreciate Japanese culture because I like anime and manga. But I'm not Japanese.
Well I can give you some that, but that is rather weak. No we need folks to read the Koran, Hadiths, Sharia. Then they will get the real picture. It might help too to read the several jihads declared and how that is supported in Islam. You will find nothing like this in any other society. Please join me in urging people to read these things.

you can find all sorts of barbarism in medieval religious translations...even Christianity....modern muslims do not all subscribe to those forms of Islamic practice....I promise you, when a young person gets a chance to fly to Dubai from Tehran....the makeup comes out and the liquor starts flowing...I've had conversations with young people from Iran living in asia.....they're not all like the old mullah's that suppress them at home...sort of like modern Christian kids that don't wait until marriage to get laid...it's a new world out there.
