it potentially cost him millions of dollars I’m sure you would just shrug that off with an oh boo hoo if you were in his position
After watching the video evidence it is even more obvious all charges need to be dropped. This is ridiculous this escalated to this point and the cop is the one out of line here with their actions and what was written in the report. What a joke!
To me, it doesn't really matter who it happened to, it's such a horrible look. He is lucky he's in a position of power, others less fortunate would get thrown into the system because many give the benefit of the doubt to police reports which can so easily be dramatized or fabricated.
Yeah I just think of a poor uneducated person, first off they possibly wouldn't have been able to make bail and get out of jail quickly. Secondly this could be charges that ruin their life, think of an assault leading to multiple years in prison for doing nothing. This detective needs a hearing and likely to be fired, possibly face charges himself because the evidence sure seems to indicate he filed a blatantly false report.
Sounds like the detectives name is Bryan Gillis. Would think we'll hear of very detailed investigations to his activities in this case as well as all prior ones.
Well, if the officer doesn't have more evidence than that he should probably be fired. Police need to wear and use body cams.
PGA is a chaotic. This golf guy should join the LIV. Guaranteed contracts, bigger payouts, and he never would have been wedging his car through a fatal crime scene just to get inside the overcrowded golf course.
oh I def agree there. I’ve been vocal about cops needing to be held accountable on here. They screw the regular working citizen with shit like this every day. I don’t even really feel sorry for him, but he did (potentially) lose out on a lot of money because of some dumbass cop.
Agreed, yeah often these institutions just want to protect the institution and that can enable people abusing the system while harming others. In this case though I think there will be so much independent media looking into that detective the police department won't be able to just sweep this under the rug.
Hello, welcome to the year 2024. https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/39428003/pga-tour-finalizes-3b-deal-liv-talks-continue
People in law enforcement can easily make six figures, often without much education. I don't know if you define that as rich or not. Having a job where you can use your power to fabricate an event, break policy and procedure, while possibly causing harm to someone who is undeserving, yet still keep your job is a wealth of job security like few have!
