<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BearsFan1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Not sure culpepper is even number 2 in the league.</div> What??? Wow...I don't know how you say that, but you are entitled to your opinion. Stats-wise he is certainly number 2 and he brings the element of being able to buy extra time in the pocket. Why don't you think he's number two?
I think it is a real close race for 2nd with a lot of horses. Brees, Mcnabb, Rothlisberger, Griese, Pennington, Brady. However, i have to give the #2 nod to brady, for obvious reasons. Mcnabb and Brees tied for third. Griese and Roth #5, pennington and culpepper at #7 .
Wow...you put the second rated passer in the NFL with Pennington? I wouldn't put Brady at #2. He is very good, but he is playing in a great system...you put him with a mediocre team and he will not look nearly as good. Why do you rate Culpepper so low? What have the others done (such as Griese) that Culpepper hasn't done?
I am not so sure I agree. Look at the weapons Culpepper has, and when you take away 1(moss) he is not evn close the the same QB. He had 18 TD and 1 INT before moss got hurt. Since that 9 TDs and 5 Ints. I think it shows it is more Moss than Culpepper. After mannign the next 6 are really close, but brady wins, that is enough to get #2. McNabb and Brees both have great numbers this season, Mcnabb has only oe reciever to throw to(he is a bit like culpepper in that it may be TO) but Brees spreads it around and is winning while the best player on his team is hurt, griese is on a team where the best offensive weapon is a rookie, and roth is undefeated as a starter.
Take away Harrison from Manning, and he'd be doing worse too thats his go to guy, mind you he does get it to some other guys if you look at the recs for Harrison in each game though he definately is the hook up for Manning, he gets injured then what? Culpepper is no different sure Moss is his go to guy as well, but Moss is a great WR why wouldnt he be, even without Moss he's doing well even if the numbers are down a bit. Manning is great but Culpepper has the potential to be better even if he is ranked 2 right now.
Manning has 3 recievers with 700 yards(stokley wayne and harrison) and 5 players who have 5 or more Tds carthces as we;; as 4 players with 30 or more catches.
Yeah I'm aware thats why I said he passes to other guys as well, but Harrison is his main guy. If he didnt have him I still think he wouldnt be as well off, he's a good WR, makes Manning look better. Not saying Manning isnt a good QB cause obviously he is.
Manning is that good with our without harrison. If you haven't noticed harrison has been dropping alot of balls latley. Nothing against harrison. I think he is a great WR but manning is incredible!
something i like about amnning is the way he controls that offense. hes always changing things up and that makes him good. many QBs dont audibile as much as they hould. but if he sees something in the defense, he will mazke a change and that may be a reason people like harrison always gets open. if i was a defensive coordinator n i had to play him, i would never blitz. 6 sacks all season against that offensive line. the lions came at him twice in the 1st uarter alone n they were burned both times. do not blitz against that team

That tells you something too. So therefore he must be doing good, and he still has more catches than the other WRs on the Colts. Manning uses him for a reason so hes helping Mannings success I'd say. Not saying that Manning isnt helping Harrisons success as well though obviously, takes two.

Look at how well Nate Burleson is doing this year for the Vikings and look at how well our tight ends are doing. Don't get me wrong, I think Manning is still the best in the league right now, but Culpepper is right behind him.

And Harrison is 2nd ranked in the league for receiving TDs.
Ok, then basically they are almost tied. Wayne is more of a deep threat. I was looking on sportsline when i posted stats, must have been dyslexic. Still ball is spread around, no one dominant reciever. Harrison has less than 25 % of mannings yards and less than 33% of his TDs.
Oh no doubt Manning does spread the ball around pretty good, all I was saying was that Harrison is a big help to his success too, being that he is such a great WR.
how can this be possible? 2 manning threads at once, started by completely an opposite topic? hahahahahaha
