Would the #8 seed be so bad?

    I know that _I_ would.

I'd rather have the 6th seed, even, and face them in the third round. :)

My personal hope/belief is that we can somehow take advantage of a better-than-expected road trip and blowing through our home-heavy schedule at the end of the year to overtake the Spurs for #2. I think we could beat DEN/HOU/NOH if we have HCA, and would give the Spurs a run for their money if we had HCA.

Then, playing the L*kers in the WCF? It'd be fun.

With potentially Oden and Webster coming back, we're back to the team I predicted would win 58 ( :( ) and going to the WCF. It's too late to make up the 58, but it's possible to get the #2 seed, and if that happens we can make WCF

DaRizzle, I hate to break it to you, but he's one of yours. He proudly wears the Purple & Piss. I have no beef with someone from LA being a die-hard L*kers fan, but how does it feel to have every pathetic frontrunner in the country pretend they're L*ker fans when times are good?

It's something to which we don't give enough credence: The inferior team that has the superior team's number. Every team has a Kryptonite Opponent. It seems that for some reason we're the L*ker's KO. For us it's Dallas, Golden State and Seattle/OKC.

I think he means lesser as compared to the Lakers. Which I don't think is an unreasonable claim given their respective records.

I would LOVE it if GO really got pissed on the court and took someone down. He's a strong dude.

LA would have 2 chances of beating us in the playoffs this year.

    Slim and none.

I would be pleased if they got in no matter the position.

From a purely entertainment stand point, I would want Portland to play the Lakers during the playoffs. Don't care what round. Considering the energy level in the RG during the last regular season game, I am guessing a playoff game would be off the chain. Half of the fun would be watching fights break out in the stands. That and every Portland win would be Sunshine and Puppy Dogs.

I think Portland would take at least 2 home games in series. I don't know if they can beat LA in LA due to the "NBA loves LA" factor. But a game 6 in Portland would be money.

Actually, I think it will do Portland good. You're gonna lose either way, so if you play the N.1 team in the west in a somewhat competitive series(say 6 games) that will give them the playoff experience they need so dearly.

It wouldn't be the end of the world, but man, I'm really hoping for a top 6 seed.

That's what I was thinking. Game 6 in Portland.... would be CRAZY! But another Game 7 in LA could absolutely just be another heartbreaker I could live without...

You can hate me all you want buddy, but the last thing I am is a front runner. I've been with this team forever. Go back to my original posts from JBB back in April of 2003. I've been with the Lakers' all along. If you came out of this bat cave every once in awhile, you'd know that.

But again, you can come to our forum in April/May if we do meet. We'll gladly host you folks.

Did you even read the post? I said go back to April of 2003 when I joined JBB. That's when I started posting. I've been a Lakers' fan since I got into basketball because I grew up and only got Lakers' games on TV.
