Would the Lakers really benefit from making the Playoffs this year?

    Yeah, they clinched #8 with the win against Seattle. A win against Sacto will give them #7 and the Suns.

    I think Diawsome was right when he said this is probably like 2003 when the Suns beat the Spurs 3 times that year and ended up losing to them in 6 but then again anything can happen Knicks knocking off the Heat in 99 and the Nuggets beat the Sonics in 94 so who knows really.

Plus, that suns spurs series was very close, and the Spurs fans were genuinely scared. I don't think the warriors have that good a chance of beating the mavs (maybe 20%) but I don't think that they'll beat us as badly as a normal 1 seed beats an 8 seed.

I see the Warriors Mavs series ending up like that Pistons Bucks series last year. The Mavs won't pay it much mind and might lose a game because of that but will probably beat them pretty easily.
