Williams is a big-bodied PF/C who can't be trusted to stay healthy
Pritchard is a back-up PG who presumably wouldn't play if Scoot and Ant are both here and healthy
An unprotected first from Boston will likely never be in the top 20 between now and 2030

We can most certainly do better than that for Holiday.

Ayton and Camara both IG official, nothing on Jrue. I think he's gone by Monday

I've had a few in the Jrue trade ideas thread, including a variation on your Boston proposal. Chicago is currently my favorite

I ask again: why does Chicago do that? It vaults them from first round exit in a sweep to... also first round exit, but maybe they win a couple.

They thought they had something with the Levine, demar, ball trio, they just extended their center, so seemingly not ready to pull the plug.

Because they’re still trying to win with LaVine and DeRozan. Why did the Twolves trade their future for Gobert? Dumb GMs do dumb GM things.

Ball/Lavine/Derozan/Vucevic were 1st in the east in 21-22 before Ball got hurt. If Chicago thinks they can recapture that by replacing Ball with Holiday, maybe they make that deal.

Haha, I voted in the poll before I realized this was a bump. I would start him now with Shae and have a 3 guard rotation. Scoot can still play 30 off the bench.

Jeesh, here we are almost 2 years later and they still haven't resolved the JHNEC.

Totally different subject today, Jrue is in a different stage of his career and Blazers are in a different spot of building a team.

I'm really excited for Jrue this next season, he's always been one of my favorite guards in the league. His two way play and team offense is so much better to watch than the ISO ball of Dame/CJ/Melo/Ant that we've had for the last dozen years. I think Jrue will defer to Scoot just fine when they share the court and be a much better duo than Ant+Scoot.

Yeah I expect I'm really going to hate having Jrue and Grant contracts on our cap in 2028 - but really nothing I can do about that. Just hoping we either dump Ayton or let him walk in the summer, an extension would be horrible. Once the cap hits $200 million the contracts wont seem debilitating - the rest of our cap sheet is very clean. Still this isn't the optimal way to build a roster long term.

In these old threads, I find that I always agree with the Pinwheel1 guy.

As for now, two years later, I love having him on the team, I just don't like his contract. I would still move him if we could get a late FRP and a shorter contract.

However, if we do keep him, I think he could start this year and move to the bench after that. The guy already has two rings and has been paid. At his age, he won't have a problem coming off the bench. Coaches are important to the development of young players, but having another voice in the ear of Scoot and Shae from a player with his resume can only help.

It’s kind of crazy to think that he’s a two time All-Star with 10 years between his two appearances. Not sure that’s ever been replicated.

Not sure about the scoring, but this would be a helluva defensive group for end of quarter/end of game possessions when a stop is needed. ChatGPT doesn't quite get them right, but you get the idea.
