Also, walking around unvaccinated without Covid is hardly comparing apples to apples. It would be more akin to walking around while you knowingly have Covid. And a “car accident” if you want to get real picky is an accident. So that would be like an unvaccinated person walking around, with Covid, but not knowing it. An accident. And what happens in car accidents? Hardly get a slap on the wrist. Not take a persons property away and most of their savings or whatever the hell that person was saying.
Then, let’s talk about who should have children. There is a massive correlation between unhealthy eating habits (and other behaviors) from parents to the children. People are free to feed their kids sht for breakfast, lunch and dinner… then are shocked when said child suffers from a whole host of mental and physical health issues. And I would say that (e)affects (shout out hcp who can inform which is right usage lol) MUCH more of our society if you look at the obesity rates, particularly long term. Most people aren’t likely to suffer major issues from Covid. Meanwhile, damn near our whole society suffers a major issue from poor health choices. (Mental health, physical health, cause of death, surgeries, etc.). Then, what are most people in the hospital for — if not for Covid? Heart disease? Wonder where that comes from?
You like to talk in absolutes and I do not. Cars, Planes, Boats are required - so you can not eliminate them - but there is regulation to curb their pollution. Same applies to vaccines. You do not need to get one - but you should not be upset if some services require a mandate. Again, I do not want to require anyone to get a vaccine, but if you use a public service or attend a public area - adhering to the rules and not putting others in danger makes sense.
I am pretty sure that there are cases where child services will take people away from unfit parents - so "child raising" mandates already exist. If you think they should be more severe, I am sure we can have a discussion about that. You know what, let's use the simple solution to curb a global pandemic before we start marching on Washington to take kids from their parents homes, yeah? I just remember the uproar when Michelle Obama fought for better nutrition in the schools how the conservative right went ballistic - apparently she is much more conservative than you are.
IIRC, all the Blazers have been vaxed and some have had their boosters. They are still positive and are now now allowed to play because they can pass it on. I'd be interested to hear about any types of symptoms they have. Many seem to be asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms. Hopefully that is the case.
I remember my English friends laugh, when I told them about my aunt slicing banana on Christmas. I got one slice and my cousins get one. It was in 80s, in Europe, not in Africa. My friends laugh about it, because it is absurd for them and they didn't believe it. It is not "fear". We got no fear about communism here. We know it, we remember it, we hate it. I wasn't even on the worst part of it and I still got stories people refuse to believe. But I know exactly where socialism leads to. And we still talking about potatoes fear. We can as well go straight to torturing people for being against government ideology.
I would be sad if they make a late run for the 8th seed again and we'd lose our pick. Just lose as much games as possible, give me at least something to cheer
If there have been meaningful changes made to the roster that will allow us to sustain success in the future... then I won't give a fuck if we make the playoffs or not. It will probably be a good sign if we do and we get to see what the changed roster looks like in the post season. Also if we do make the playoffs then the pick is the Bulls and our future picks will be available for us to deal during the draft and the rest of the off season, while trying to build a winner.
The thing is, i'm out on win now. I want that rebuild badly. Zero hope that Cronin is able to do some magic
