exactly. Making the playoffs and having a winning team is nice and all, but the goal is to win a championship. Nash for Batum doesn't get this team to contender status and pisses away the future. No thank you. STOMP
I really think we could get Nash with crawful, Felton and Wallace. We go three team with new York and Phoenix. Basically giving and Felton to Phoenix, Wallace, crawful to new York and we get Childress and Nash. I think we may get a first rounder out of it as well. I think new York understands that melo eith linsanity isn't going to work.
No. Rondo is very suspect from the perimeter. At least Nic can hit the outside shot. We need a PG that can knock down the open jumper or teams will collapse on Aldridge.
I agree that a point guard should be able to shoot at least somewhat efficiently, but really, what we need is an offense that moves people around, attempts to confuse or move the defense and a point guard who creates opportunities for other people to hit high percentage shots. In a perfect world a point guard should be your shooter of last resort
Absolutely. I get so sick and tired of people thinking we need this jump shooting PG. We need a guard that can get into the lane and create. If they are fast enough, they will have multiple open jumpers from mid range. I will say this again, but Bayless would have been perfect
I had high hopes for Bayless when we drafted him, he had a nice physical profile, but he really wasn't the right guy. He dribbles with his head down and that makes it tough to create shots for others.
While he will never be "that" guy, I think that is something he could have improved enough on to be a very solid PG
He had a semi-nice run with Toronto last year where he was distributing and playing a nice overall floor game, but it looks like he's kind of regressed to his personal mean this year. If he was two inches taller he'd be a great shooting guard.
He was starting last year for Toronto during the stretch you are referring to. Calderon was hurt, and he just went out and played.
