I would. I don't think he is the problem in Philly; I think Embid and the coach are the problem.

I'm not sure who needs more attention, Harden or this thread.

Yea! I think now a good offseason plan is now Harden, Miles Bridges, Deandre Ayton, and Ja Morant. However, the only players I would put on the table for them are Blevins, Reggie Perry and Shavlik Randolph

You're just going to let RLEC expire? Surely we could get Jrue Holiday if we threw in Didi with RLEC.

I predict this will happen.

Didn't Philly promise a max contract or is that just rumors? I voted No just because I think that he doesn't fit the scheme at all. I think we give this a shot with the scheme and if it fails, sadly we probably have to trade Lillard. I don't see Harden as a piece you can pivot around at all. If you sign Harden and the team is awful, then what?

I do not think anyone is giving Harden anything close to 47M after how he has performed this season... so this conversation should be tabled until next year. Harden has a 47M player option on his current contract. The idea when the trade went down was that Morey would give him a max extension that would pay him even more than 47M next season but I don't think that's going to happen now. So the Sixers will be stuck with Harden next season at 47M and then he'll be an unrestricted free agent in 2023.

That's not the premise of this thread...

The question is: Assuming Harden opts out of his $47M contract -> would you sign him to a $12M MLE deal?
I would, but then I'd look to trade him as soon as it was legal.

Not a Harden fan, but he did learn to go to his left … eventually. MLE? No brainer. If he’s playing 16 with Dame and 16 with Hart … well, a swing who plays D and is switchable is needed anyway. His D won’t be that much worse than Simons, and he has far more gravity and overall O game. Again, not a fan, but paired with Dame is not the same as Westbrook or the absentee Kyrie Irving.

James Harden or Derrick Jones Jr... hmm....
