That's the difference between REAL fans and the sanctimonious twitterpates who believe what they read in the Oregonian or on O-Live.

If Artest helps us win, he can sodomize Canzano with a Bowie knife on the steps of city hall!

To be honest, one of the big things the Blazers players are missing is the crazy intense player that gets into other players heads. Too many nice guys. Bring in a little bit of mean.

To his credit, he's only ever punched a fan when they threw a beer at him ... did he go absolutely postal and make a good faith effort to fuck that guy up for life? Yes. But should a one-time fuckup (and boy was it a doozy) automatically disqualify a guy from being able to grow up? :dunno:

You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

Ask KP if Ron Artest is an option for us... I bet he laughs you out of the room.

He also beat on his girlfriend - multiple times.

and don't forget he threatened to quit the NBA for half a season to promote his "rap" album.

I've kind of grown on him this series. He's nuts for sure, but isn't that dirty of a player and the other guys seem to like him a lot. He doesn't seem to make excuses for himself, isn't as much of a whiner (more of a trash talker) , and plays very physical, but not that dirty of defense.

Coming out of this series I hate Battier and Yao way more!

Which proves what? That the team is afraid of the witch-hunters at the Oregonian and their amen chorus on O-Live? That was my point! To Hell with Canzano, Quick, and all the other hectoring harridans over there.

Artest would provide us with greatly needed toughness and defense- plus, he can score- as was seen in the last game.

We need a point guard badly, but if we can't get one- I wouldn't mind signing Artest- he immediately give us a much better defense- Imagine a defensive lineup of Aldridge, Oden, Artest, Batum and Bayless.

KP has also stated that bringing in one "nutter" to an otherwise solid club can be done. It's when the "nutters" are the norm and the Przys and Roys are the outsiders that things really go sideways (see Trail Blazers, Portland; 2001-2005)

It proves that the best young GM in the league thinks you are a joke.

    I agree with him.

Are you physically incapable of adding something to the conversation besides ad hominem attacks?

I gained a lot of respect for Artest in this series - but I still would not want him on this team. Great to see him mature - I would pull for him to get better and win more - but I still would not trust him on this team.

This team might have needed someone to go more rah-rah during the series - but I would like someone that is a bit more consistent and dependable not to flip over the edge when all is said and done. Who knows - maybe JayBay is that guy when he finally gets minutes.

This actually leads me to another path - but as far as getting these guys fired up for the playoffs - don't you think Jarret Jack taking Sergio's minutes would have been an upgrade? I sure do. I can not believe this team would look be so beaten down in game 6 (or 1) if he was still on the roster. Of course - this is not an important thing - since it is clear he would not have been happy getting Sergio's limited minutes - but as far as his presence in the locker room and on the side-line - I think this team missed someone like him...

Because Brandon Roy elevated his game from top 20 shooting guard in the league to top 3? :dunno:

Now imagine his game without having to face Artest 3-4 times a year plus playoffs.. not to mention Batum learning under him for a while.

Yeah, Brandon proved to me that he is a big time elite playoff scorer in this series ... I mean he's really fucking 'WOW' good! I actually thought about what it would feel like to be a Houston fan knowing that you have the two best wing defenders in the league on your team and he still goes off like that.
