Would you trade a package that centered on Nik Batum for Monta Ellis?

And if Ellis is so good, why are they 6 games under 500?

    Don't trade Batum . . .

cause they don't have Aldridge? That's why we aren't 6 games under .500

    This.

Plus, all this wonderful ball movement we have now would come to an end with Monte on the team.
A negative on defense and a black hole on offense.

    Yuck.

I'd point to a few reasons. He's playing out of position... should be guarding PGs. The Warriors don't have that much talent on their roster overall and most every other player of note has missed more then a couple games. They've two new starters they're integrating. New PF David Lee is one of them and like Love & Zach, dude is terrible at defending the paint.

I guess that was my point. There are plenty of reasons the Blazers are two games over 500, and like Eillis with GS, none of those reason having to do with Batum.

The Clippers have Blake Griffin and look at their record. Either LA is far superior to Blake, or LA has much better help.

Besides how the heck are the Blazers even 500 when they have such a handicap in McFly? I don't think you understand just how much Batum has to overcome as a young player playing for Nate . . . oh never mind you are the one who has explained to me. :D

Just imagine if Nic plays like this for Nate what a real coach will do for him . . .

the thing with Monta's situation that is unlike Batum's is that he's producing despite playing outside of what would seem to me to be ideal circumstances. As a Bay Area resident, trust me Warrior fans recognize that playing alongside Curry (two 6'2 190 pound guards) isn't ideal and that he probably should be dealt to maximize his and their interests. What would happen with Monta in a situation that maximized his talents is the question that spurs a lot of the trade talk with him

Agreed. Nico ripped that rebound right out of Jason Thompson's hands, then he calmly his two free throws.
