If Batum has potential why does McGee not have any?

He does but nowhere near the potential Batum does and Batum's is much more all around both defensive and offensive. Is McGee going to get that much better as a rebounder and shot blocker? His offensive would have to grow by leaps and bounds to get to where Batunm is now.

It's the opposite. Nate's talent is straightening out young players. His weakness is in sharpening everyone's game to an elite level by holding them to high standards and not permitting constant errors all game long. The more experienced the roster is, the more useless Nate is.

If we got McGee (or any discipline problem), I'd be in favor of keeping McMillan for McGee's first year or two.

McGee has more potential that Batum IMO. Crazy athleticism, and already averages a double double without knowing how to use it.

With Marcus here to mentor him for this year, (and if we sign him to an extension) for a few more years, McGee would absolutely flourish. Plus being next to a guy like LA can only make him better as he would have to focus only on the rebounding and blocking.

Nic is my favorite player, but this is an obvious deal to make if available.

Yeah but it's kinda moot. I just have no reason to believe Washington would even consider. Especially if they get a high draft pick in a solid draft.

No thanks. McGee sucks. He's putting up stats on a horrible team. If he was a legit center they would have more W's. He's a complete joke at the FT line as well.

Do you actually think that? That's ridiculously stupid. JaVale McGee is better than Chris Johnson at everything. I'm also pretty sure he knows how to play basketball, considering he makes millions of dollars doing it. All you guys always say he's just putting up stats on a bad team. Do bad teams never have any good players? Should good players on bad teams do poorly? Would that prove they were good? Think about what you're saying. Wait, that actually won't help because your thinking is fundamentally flawed. Sorry McGee isn't a dirty greasy European with no athleticism like Luis Scola or some shit.

Correction. Scola's from Argentina which is located in South America.

I will concede that he is almost certainly better at planking.

Good reasoning! That's why the CEOs of failing companies get such huge raises!

Sometimes. Those players aren't just putting up numbers.

They probably wouldn't have their PGs yell at them in practice and get benched for showboating in a blowout loss.

Good illustration of a false dilemma.

I don't think it would help, as you seem more than capable of deliberately misunderstanding it.

Wow - some issues there. I can't help but think your rant would've been better if you'd actually come up with a European.

javale is overrated, if that is possible for a apathetic stoner.

and mags, you dont think cj could get 11/9 or so in 30 mpg?

I don't know if CJ could get 30 minutes. Wouldn't he probably foul out first?

Check out the +/- stats for the Wizards.

I wonder if they'd part with Seraphin. (Not because of his +/- - he hasn't played enough to tell, but because he looked really pretty good playing over in greasy Europe.)

its his job to be aggressive in the short time he is out there which has been to the tune of 7 mpg in 22 career games or so....

The European part was a joke lol I know he's from South America (it's an old inside joke with my brother). But I really have no idea why I got so worked up about McGee vs. Johnson. I don't even like McGee and I don't particularly like Johnson either.

I really, really wanted the Blazers to draft him, and I was almost certain that when the draft coverage guys announced that the Blazers made that Webster trade to move up I figured he was the target ... and then the two words that will haunt me forever were uttered instead, "The Minnesota Timberwolves have traded the draft rights to Luke Babbitt for Martell Webster and cash considerations ..."

and then you fell asleep for two years on a heroin binge and kidnapped javale mcgee at dick point and brought him into the futue in your organic time machine (after you used it to travel into the past) so he could be drafted 2 years later than in reality, only to THEN have your hopes and dreams crushed to pieces like a faberge testicle...too sad
