Actually, Portland is further north than Toronto http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toron...ocked-by-the-portland-trail-blazers-1.2887500
In your maple sugar dreams...we are the north.(thank you Vancouver Grizzlies and Seattle Sonics) we may only hold the title for a short while but I'm milkin' it until the day! Now Curling up in the mining country, you Canucks have us all beat!
Is this meant as a joke? You think the Clippers would trade their starting shooting guard for two backup big men? Reddick was their best wing player last season. Now I've thought Freeland could be good for them as well but it would be something such as expiring contracts and a pick or a young player or Jamal Crawfords contract or a sign and traded Austin Rivers or a player on a rookie contract. A contender doesn't trade away their third best veteran player for a lottery teams backups.
I think my whole problem with the premise of this thread is we have no idea what positions this Blazer roster needs help with. Gerald Henderson is the only player besides Damian who was a rotational player all of last season. Plumlee couldn't crack the rotation of a fringe playoff team in the East the last few months of the season. Ed Davis played for the minimum on one of the worst teams in the league and was benched at the end of the year. Meyers had two great playoff games but lets see him put together 10 games of average play first. Vonleh is 19 and Kaman is basically a player/coach. Aminu can slide to PF but he's another guy that played a small role for most of last season for the minimum. We aren't sure what forward spot will be best for him here. I'm excited to see what these guys do but its far from having "too many bigs". They all have aspects that are interesting but they all have something to prove before they can be considered legit NBA rotational players. When the Blazers had Sabonis, Rasheed, Brian Grant, and Jermaine Oneal they had too many good bigs. We don't know how many if any of this big man group can be counted on next season. Lets see how these guys play before we ship one of them away. We have plenty of cap space to try and acquire a wing.
Toronto's trying to build him into a 3+D player. So far he hasn't committed himself. Rumours last season suggested he was always the first to leave the practice facility. Constantly inviting people to play 2K with him on Twitter didn't help the perception that he's lazy.
Perry Jones III and Steve Novak for a 2020 top 55 protected 2nd. We take a flyer on PJ3, who had shown flashes with okc but never had consistent role. We can keep Novak to stretch the floor, use him as potential trade bait at the deadline, or just waive him. OKC saves I believe over 4 million in salary, and then whatever else on the tax.
It's too bad Larry Sanders and Epke Udoh are untouchable defensive cornerstones, they sure would look nice right about now. And to think we could have traded LMA for them 2 years ago.
You spelling the players name wrong has been going on for years, and you don't stop. So don't complain about that.
