I'm no Kobe mark, but I don't understand why people are so livid over this little piece of footage. As far as I've seen, he hasn't said "The Lakers are a pathetic franchise (I should know) and won't ever be successful, so &%$& em'". I've seen reasons to flame a guy and this aint' it. Fact of the matter is this, he was frustrated with a decision to wait on prospects and potential instead of a HOF'er (who remember has had injury issues) when he was "told" that they were going to try to win now. You have to admit that does kinda bad from his standpoint. From what I've seen from Lakers forum's, Mitch isn't the most loved guy anyway. But it wasn't like he called Mitch "The biggest piece of monkey crap" (and remember that this conversation was candid). I think Kobe is narcissistic and spoiled, but it's not all his fault, per se. When you are told by adoring fans and the media that you can walk on water, you start to believe it. I think it's funny how Bill Plaschke just tears into him the way he does. It makes me wonder what Kobe did to him. Did he slap him or tell him he would help Bill with his game and decided to do something else while Bill sat there at the court til' the sun went down wondering where Kobe is (can you tell me you can't see Bill with the shorts and headband looking down at the ball and then the sky and wondering where Kobe is). Another reason that this surprises me is the fact that this episode seemed like it was bound to happen and Kobe is playing the role that we expected. I remember when Shaq left and guys like T-Mac and KG said to watch what you wish for.
