He will want an opportunity to prove his mettle as a starter. Good for him, but bad for the Nets for not picking up his option.

Exactly. Which is why we need to dump Vince for some serviceable role players. Maybe we can pawn Vince and Magloire off to the Lakers for Bynum, Brown, and Radmanovic. (In my dreams)

I thought you said servicable role players?

Radmanovic finally starts hitting shots, Kwame is no longer being associated with 'bust' talk, and you think they're Vince Carter-level?
I must have blacked out and missed Vince pulling this team into the playoffs the past couple of years, and missed this season's 82 games entirely.

If Wright continues his present playhe could bethe nextJoe Dumars. His combination of offense and defense is exciting. I really wish we had Houston to help him with shooting.

Sean Williams is on there a couple times tho...
So how bout it Dumpy, Kidd-RJ-Carter?

nba.com only lists the top 50 combinations by plus-minus . . . and this ain't one of them. The culprit is the Kidd-Carter-RJ-Collins-Krstic combo which is a pathetic minus-22 in 43 minutes. Surprisingly, it wasn't due to the Toronto game. They were minus-12 to start the third quarter against Chicago, and minus-eight to start the third quarter against Atlanta and roughly equal during every other stint. If we include this five-man unit, the Kidd-Carter-Jefferson trio is minus-two in 105 and a half minutes. If we don't include it, obviously they are plus-six in in 62 minutes. Just so there's no misunderstanding, there werefour combinations that also involved Krstic (including the starting unit) which total to minus-24 in 51.5 minutes;therehave been four combinations thatinclude Collins that total -6 in 82 minutes. Thus, the "big three" WITHOUT Krstic has earned a plus-22 in 54 minutes. It's clear who the culprit is.
Incidentally, the Nets' top SEVEN five-man units by plus-minus all have Wright on them. Although to be fair, Wright has been on some of the worst units, also, when he's surrounded by some combination of Armstrong, Malik Allen, Magloire, and Nachbar.
