What comments did I make that were ridiculous?

Feel free to quote me. Don't quote the strawmen, please.

Mirotic would have to be part of any deal for Aldridge IMO.....

add a 2014 pick and salary filler (Boozer or Deng) and it becomes a little closer......

I understand where you're coming from.

The Bulls situation is that they have Deng's expiring contract, Mirotic able to come over, along with a signed Rose, Noah, Butler, Taj, and a bunch of cap space.

If they need more cap space, they might then amnesty Boozer. They'd like to resign Deng for quite a bit less than he's getting now.

All this for summer of 2014.

And then they have Charlotte's pick in 2016 unprotected, 2015 top 8 protected, 2014 top 10 protected. You have to think Charlotte is going to be lotto bound and the pick could well be #1.

So they roll the dice with what they have now. And reload with a solid core, picks, Mirotic, and cap space in a year.

Is LMA worth blowing all that up over?

That cap space just might end up getting them LeBron if he exercises his ETO.

Exactly. If we're going to trade with someone, Chicago has some nice pieces to put together.

They do, however they are not the only team that does.....

Of course any offers for LA likely get worse the longer this plays out....

Are you saying Olshey whiffed on an equal value deal for LMA the past two weeks?

I would say the trade deadline and 2014 off season will have some decent offers. I am not losing any sleep over Mirotic, Deng, Charlotte pick or the 1 and 19 Cleveland offer.

So a Euro, the 26th pick in the draft (Give or take a couple) and fucking Boozer? I think we can do better.......

No, but I don't know what was even offered...I do think it becomes trickier the longer this plays out....I think they have until the trade deadline to decide whether to try and keep\persuade him to stay or deal him...once next offseason hits, if he does want to move on, he has some control over where he can be dealt...b\c teams are not going to offer a ton in return for essentially a 1 year rental player who won't agree to resign with them and could walk in a year....

I thought the GS rumor (if true) looked pretty good....Klay Thompson or Barnes and filler (Bogut\Lee) for LA...is not a bad potential return IMO...would have liked to get another pick back in that deal as well, but I am not sure what picks they have anymore after trading with UTA....

    It would be Charlotte's pick....

I am not saying it is the best POR could get for LA...probably the best they could get from CHI...If they do have to trade LA, I hope Olshey can get a good young player or 2 and a future pick or two in return at minimum....

Keep in mind that the theory used for trading LMA now will be used by the team who trades for him. He is not going to sign an extension, so why give up quality? So really the number of teams who will be making good offers now are very small. Most of the top teams he would consider re-signing with do not have attractive draft picks. I get why some think Chicago is the best option. But so far I am not impressed.

And you suggest something equally bad. Actually, you managed to make it worse.

If LA were to "HAVE" to go to Chicago, I would try to make it a 3 way

    LA to Chicago

Rights to Mirotic, Butler, Deng, Bulls 2014 1st, HornCats 2014 1st

Then send Deng to a team for another young player and a pick

Cleveland wanted Deng for the #1. Do you think they'd trade Bennett for Deng now (and maybe the Bulls pick)? That would turn the deal into LMA for Mirotic, Butler, Bennett, and the Charlotte pick. That's not bad.

I doubt it. I'm not sure who would want Deng, but I am sure someone would.
