I looked this up quite extensively in another thread- every Chinese person in the NBA has listed their last name then first name in the NBA just like Yao. Japanese players are the opposite just like Ichiro in baseball. Rui Hachimura first name is Rui. It was over a dozen NBA players I found and every single one followed this format. Not that Yang needs to follow anyone else - he should be able to have his name listed however he wants. But on NBA.com, ESPN, and articles Casey H (Blazers employee) published it's listed as Yang Hansen so I'll assume that's his preferred way until it's reported differently.
