After they went up 3-1, did the Devs have any good chances? Maybe 2 tops. We really shut them down 100% after we fell behind 3-1. Good for us. Keep it up Wednesday.

I think they get it Al. They want to grow the game and grow the money. They know these outdoor games do that Al. So they suck it up and play in them usually tops once a year for a team. And that is smart. It is far from ideal conditions. It is usually a very choppy game. But they suck it up for the good, and growth, of the game. Good for them I say. Not like it is dangerous. That's not an issue.

It will be cool to play a night game outdoors. I will look forward to that Wednesday night. Puck drop at almost 7:45 I bet.

50,000 fans. Nearly 3 times the amount of fans as in the Garden. That is why they do this. Just be smart and don't go overboard NHL. 5 MAX please. And even that is a lot.

I agree with Dano. 2nd goal changed that game.

The NHL wants to attract a wider audience, and the players understand that. These games are all about money, the owners, players and anybody else involved with the game understands that.

I like Clowe but he would not fit in in this system. Thank god they did not resign him. He skates like he is in mud.

I am shocked that the devils have this many points. Fatso need to retire.

Notice, the Rangers made both the Devils and Islanders the home team. I could be wrong but that gives them 2 extra games at home since playing there is certainly not a road game.

There was a tax exemption given by ed Koch that stated msg would be exempt from paying real estate taxes bur their two prime tenants had to play all their home games at MSG losing that exemption would cost Dolan millions of dollars

It is the league who decides who the home team is.

The Rangers didn't make them the home team, the NHL made the Devs and Isles the home team. The home teams get money from the NHL since they lose a home game. The Rangers would cost the NHL 1 mill more per game if they were the home team, so they are the road team. Plus I think there is some tax reason also the Rangers need to play all their home games in MSG.

Anyway you slice it this is an advantage for us. Worst case these are neutral site games for us, and I'd say we have more fans at these games than the Devs and Isles, so we have 39 real road games instead of 41. That is good for us.

Marty is funny. He can never say it is on him. Always an excuse. Guy is an all time great, but has always lacked class IMO. Never credit to anyone else. If the Devs were smart they would be done with him this summer OR tell him you come back and you are the backup...period.

On the flip side I like DeBoer a lot. Very solid coach and seems like a real standup guy. That Devs team simply does not have a lot of talent and he keeps them close and in the mix for the playoffs.

He gets a lot out of a roster people didn't think much of.
