100%. Dude is a classless sore loser, period. I don't think I've ever heard him say, "Yeah, that's on me, I didn't play well." If he wasn't lucky enough to be on a team with a defensive mindset and decent success his entire career, he'd be just another moody slightly above average journeyman goalie.
Marty has always been a huge, piece of shit. I actually wish bad things for him in the future. He's a scumbag.
He also bought a house in Essex Fells, a very wealthy community. Wanted to make big house a huge monstrosity. Needed a variance to do it. All the neighbors said no. He got pissed, never moved in, and immediately sold. Big baby couldn't get his way. Boo hoo hoo.
Really, i can't stand DeBoer. He has the type of smirk that makes you just want to slap him upside the head.
Chuck, I'll bet you wouldn't be looking forward to it if you had to go LOL as temps will be in single digits tmo night and gonna be a lot of people ending up with frostbite. These games should be strictly afternoon weekend affairs
I agree the night game will not be pleasant to attend, but lets not forget people go to outdoor events in such conditions all the time. Green Bay Packers sell out for their home games and I am sure they reach this temp. Cincinnati vs San Diego in the playoffs in 1981. NE Pats have had games in the snow, same with Jet and Giant fans. It happens. People will lube themselves up and enjoy.
I liked it when the NHL first came out with the Winter Classic and an outdoor game would be played on Jan 1st. Not surprisingly, Buttman and the NHL are ruining something good by making it a normal occurrence. It's all about the greenbacks.
I would love to see the Rangers have 1 or 2 outdoor games ayear. went to the Sunday game and it was great. a real festive atmosphere. not only great for the NHL, but also the local economy. Train fares, subway fares, concessions. merchandise, local bars. a win, win for all. sure the game is not as ideal as an indoor game, but the pro's far outweigh the cons. I spent about 80 dollars at the concession stands ( two of us ) that was probably about average for 2 , with 50,000 fans, that comes to about 4 million dollars . not to shabby. Times 2 counting Islander game
These Stadium games are always about the money. I was also at Sunday's game and it was great atmosphere. To me there were more Devil fans. More money was spent in that hour delay. Highlites for me were Zucc's goals, Strahlman's hit, Pouliot's sac along the boards to let Zucc free in 2nd period, Brodeur benching. Ranger D was very loose. Had a great time. Note: Not going Wednesday night. Let somebody else spend their money.
