I have no idea why they signed this guy....I think he once was known as a "good glove" (where have we heard this before?).....last I saw of him he was making an error vs Boston in the WS, and I think it was a costly one. I guess if I had to describe him in one word it would be→ sucks! If I see him and Ryan on the field or in the dugout for the Yanks I'll puke, and then piss on Cashman's shoes.....maybe I'll piss AND puke on his shoes.

CBS Sports believes that the Yankees dealing away closer Andrew Miller remains a longshot as per Jon Heyman.

Why would you even think of breaking up the best set up/closer combination in all of baseball. Its amazes the hell out of me how some idiots still support and back up the job that Cashman is doing.

He's not going to break up the combination - and if he were to trade Miller he would (imo) have to be overwhelmed probably with a GOOD young SP in return and also have some other deal secured for some other top closer (Chapman?) or a top set-up guy and then install Betances as the closer. I would bet on it.
Otherwise he isn't trading Miller-- these "rumors" are all the result of him mentioning a couple weeks ago he would be willing to "listen" to all talks concerning "any" Yankee player including Miller.
He ISNT going to trade Miller unless the scenario I stated plays out.
    IMHO.
    Don't believe the hype.

...I get the point but don't know why Cashman would trade Miller for Chapman...I mean what purpose does it serve?...the same goes for Cincinnati, why would they trade Chapman for Miller?...it doesn't accomplish anything.

...though it doesn't make sense for the owner or GM to tip their hand and let their true intensions made public, according to Hal and Cashman, the Yanx are shying away from the big name FA market and hope to make improvements via a trade instead. Cashman has made it known that he is very willing to listen to any team concerning a trade...and considering the Yanx current roster/payroll situation, that's probably the right way to approach it...hopefully, he'll get the right phone call, and actually make a trade that makes an impact.

...I think it's safe to say that there's really no one on the Yanx roster who is 100% untouchable if the right deal comes along.

I'm not suggesting a Miller for Chapman straight up trade ....if that's what you were talking about. I guess I also (along with some baseball media) may be falling for Cashman's hook when he said he would be willing to trade anyone including Miller.
But I believe if there is a match with some team and they "ring Cashman's bell" with a proposal for Miller, it would have to be (I have to believe) a good young pitcher.....AND, if Cashman were to take the offer and make the trade- he would only do so if he had some other deal on the backburner for another "good"/top closer OR a " good" set-up guy.....if he were to acquire this hypothetical set-up guy I presume he then moves Betances to the closer spot - if not the set-up guy, then some hypothetical "top" closer. I mentioned Chapman only because there were rumors HE may be in the block. It could be some other closer for all we know, but I don't know who is "available"..... only Cashman and the other GM would know.

Maybe, perhaps there's a team out there who wants, or needs a closer such as Miller instead of prospects. So Cashman would make this deal...and then look to the other "deal" for a closer (Chapman?) or set-up guy in exchange for a couple of Yankee prospects.

Example- and I know it's not going to happen, but just to get a general idea of a Miller trade scenario:

The A's offer Sonny Gray (lmao) for Miller-
    Yanks do it-
The Yanks then get back to the 3rd team for a closer (Chapman?), or some other 3rd team for a set-up guy in either case for a couple of Yankee prospects.

This is (I guess) a possible scenario/ line of thinking for "trading Miller".
