Except for all the albatrosses for which no phone call will come....that as you say is the real issue. And let's be clear here, this is a result of bad strategy on Cashman's part because he had no long term plan other than to kick the can down the road and hope to have a bigger budget.

    ...This.

...that's the problem with the latest "plan". The need for a new plan is born out of past Cashman faux pas.

Andrew Miller "remains available" for a trade and the Astros are interested as per Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

Obviously the Yanks have arrived at this "plan" because (as they knew and admitted) as a result of luxury taxes being amended to the point where the Yanks or any other team are now paying 25% or so for each dollar over the threshold .....and haven't we already discussed these current now cumbersome contracts ( CC, Tex ect)?
The Yanks went all out and spent a ton of money in the 2008 off season and it did play a big partin a 2009 WS title season.
I don't recall too much objection over those deals at THAT time, and for those who DID disagree with it- time to move on, the Yanks are.
They're currently (imo) in very decent shape with trade chips and options while continuing to get "younger" and soon to be dumping 35-40 million after this year and a total of 75-80 (?) by the end of 2017.

Cheer up - they aren't dregs.

...for the umpteenth time, wtf does 2009 have to do with now?...sorry, but this is the Yanx and one fucking Title in 15 years ain't gonna cut it.

...and nobody said they were dregs, so stop making things up...and stop making excuses, they aren't anywhere near being a championship team either.

...can't imagine who Houston would be willing to give in return that would make sense.

...the only occasion Cashman is "hard" at work is when he's chasing his hookers.

According to FOX Sports the Yankees are interested in Asdrubal Cabrera to play second base as per Jon Morosi.

WTF does Cashman have against giving our younger players a chance? I'm really okay with going into the season with Refsnyder/Ackley. Hell it can't be any worse than Brian Roberts or Stephen Drew.

...like I've said before Rick, Cashman's ever-changing supposed "plan" strategy appears to change from week to week...with him, it seems to depend on "any way the wind blows".

...but don't worry, he and Donald Duck have their fingers firmly on the pulse on the once proud Yankee franchise.

Apparently Ron you didn't get the memo, Cashman knows what he's doing. He is a genius & NOTHING is his fault.

Excuse me Rick but if you read the post I was responding to - it brought up "albatross's and:3e7ey

"Cashman's ever-changing supposed "plan" strategy appears to change from week to week"...

How so? What has "changed" since last off season, last trade deadline and now? For someone who's always complaining and lecturing about rehashing and bringing up the past, you sure do like to play the same record over and over again in your imaginary world of this "ever changing plan"... lol...
Let's get to the bottom of this crap shall we?
Help me out....inform us all. What the fuck is "ever changing" since last off season?

1...I don't need to be validated by a lesser mind.

2...it wouldn't do any good to go into it anyway, because you've never been able to grasp even the simplest of concepts.

    3...I won't play your game.

4...if this doesn't help, rinse and repeat.

What is "ever changing with Cashman's Plan"?

Easy, He's getting dumber by the day.........and beware, I'd not put it past Trashcan, I mean man, to add Crapuano as a Starter in 016....
